I heard a rumor that YT Shenanigans was going to replace the YT Mob.

Three times. There was Gwin. Couple years later they cut Dak and Davey Boy at the end of the season, closed their race team, only to immediately start the mob. And now this.

You'd sure as hell be wanting to get paid up front!

I think keyboard warriors wanted to see YT burn after this to burn Markus. Twice have they burned riders at the top of the game. They burned customers. Why would we want to be oh yeah they are back? All the good karma that they had built up over the years?

There have been a few almost losses the last two years who at least tried or were open about what was happening, and come back swinging like Rocky, Kona, Nukeproof. They have all come back in someway and people celebrated them coming back because of the way they handled it. Revel as well, although they were a bit tougher with customer support. Then there are YT and Pole. If two brands stayed dead because of the way they handled their customers and riders very publicly, I don't think a lot of people who cry about it.

People lose jobs, investors taking a bath, people ordering bikes that never arrive, riders without a team etc the audacity to call people keyboard warriors is wild lmao. YT literally FUCKED OVER countless people but sure, call us keyboard warriors.

Interesting news from I9 following the We Are One acquisition, they named We Are One's founder Dustin Adams CEO of the whole company. I say "interesting" because it's not unusual for the management team of the acquired entity to be more or less dismantled as the smaller structure is absorbed into the acquiring one. Tippie isn’t competitive, and you’re not really hiring him to ride. He's basically a marketing ambassador. You aren’t paying him to even ride, really. He has a skill set that’s beyond riding and something that most people, regardless of their riding ability, don’t have. He’s not really a “modern” influencer, because social media isn’t his medium, but a brand would basically “sponsor” him in the same way as an influencer, not as a racer/freerider. You’re paying for the personality and story, not the talent.

Their enduro team was done last year but they graciously kept me on board for this year with my contract having another year on it. Sounds obvious of course, but the bike industry isn't always so giving. The DH team took me in and I had a blast all year long, which was the main reason for doing DH at the end of the year. I just wanted to hang out with the team some more, and who wouldn't take the chance to race World Cup DH while they can. As for next year, stay tuned.

I suppose we can't be everyone's cup of tea - our goal is to make the best bikes we possibly can & yes, that price is competitive. Thanks!

Tippie was in NWA quite a bit over the last couple of years as part of YT events. Everything said on that writeup is true. He's unflagging in his positivity and stoke. He includes everyone and interact with everyone from the kookiest kid to the most seasoned pro. He's almost uncomfortably positive and full of stoke at times, but a brand really couldn't ask for a better ambassador. I hope he lands somewhere. Dude is a legend, and his story of climbing out of the dark depths of addiction is inspirational.
