8/14/2024 3:02pm some of you wouldn’t be happy in heaven. each and every time I crest the top of a climb on my eeb I shake my head and laugh at how great it is. Playing with house money after my first day on an eMTB, they’re so sick! I’ve never expected a bike to last more than two years, so maybe that’s the issue, but my eebs have been right there with every other thing in this hobby. Unsure if Shimano are the worst, but certain they’re more fun than any pedal bike (DH bike + chairlift is the only thing...

6/6/2023 12:23pm wow you guys are some SQ-uares indeed! Gnarly stance to take on a pretty tame ad, one that even saw your righteous outrage coming and pre-empted you by putting manbutt blockers in there. Does this all jive with your stances on God Squad DHers, transphobic stage dad/TMs, and cowboy stars'n'stripes family values vloggers? How are you going to make it all work out? You're doomed! You cannot possibly have the energy required to be angry about this. The biggest gripe I have with this campaign is the domme / toadie character tropes...pretty cornball, but it's Germans...and it's bike seats, so...

6/6/2023 5:45am I login to Instagram to view my fav riders, Lots of the female ones who are advertising stuff are ALWAYS facing away from the camera with the main point being their "ass" While im not worried how they promote their products, theres always two faces from said advertiser: "dont sexualise me" while proceeding to fill my feed with their body parts on show. double standards are a big issue in Advertising - I, however dont really care, just scroll past most of that stuff anyway.

5/30/2023 5:24am Seth wasn’t willing to drill a hole in his seat was he? It’s a normal AXS dropper, normal battery. Different seat clamps to get the right angle and then the plastic drilled out to allow the seat to get to that angle.

5/19/2023 5:03am Intense has to thank PulpMX for keeping them afloat I guess. BTW, how can they be so late, like... how long does it take to weld a frame together? Unless their engineers are behind with stress testing etc...

5/17/2023 10:01am This has been puzzling in the back of my mind all week but after doing a bunch of reading and hearing Chase Sexton talk on the Pulp Show this week about what he did to his Honda to make the front end more stable I think I understand why they would prefer this. By increasing the offset they are lengthening the bike including the front center to increase chassis stability. We (the general public) generally think about just sizing up or getting reach adjust headsets but clearly Finn and Loic know exactly what reach measurement works for them and their...

5/2/2023 8:58am I've been lucky to ride most of the places mentioned in North America this thread and, in my experience, the most important ingredient for a happy mountain bike trip is local knowledge. Riding around staring at your phone or a map is a great way to ride lots of meh trails, but connecting with someone (anyone) who knows the area is a surefire way to ride the good stuff. Plus, despite my username being a misanthropic ROBOT, people really do make the experience. Seems like everyone's listed a bunch of great options, so I would pick the one where you...

4/28/2023 11:22am I got to spend a day on the Haste but in the Performance Elite spec with the DHR Evo's at Trestle on their second to last weekend open. I was super impressed with the bike especially how it mellowed out the massive end of season braking bumps. Describing the suspension as feeling bottomless was my same conclusion.

4/27/2023 1:03pm Same! Got into MTB from racing MX. Still do both but planning on trying on trying my first DH race this summer. But yeah, looks like he really crushed the tight switch backs and off camber on the DH bike to pull ahead.
dylanr97 Started a new thread Josh Toth MX vs MTB at DHSE Rock Creek
4/27/2023 9:18am Super cool to see this crossover! Josh is incredibly talented on a dirt bike and seems to be pretty fast on a DH bike as well winning the top amateur award for the weekend. Also rad on Rock Creek's part to let him do this.

4/27/2023 9:08am In college, I lived relatively close to Cane Creek's HQ when the original double barrel was created. I was fortunate enough to ride with a bunch of riders that were the first to get the shock, at that time North Carolina had multiple National Champions in DH and Slalom and they were all running the DB. Gerritt Beytagh even had a one-off itty bitty DB on his slalom bike. Ohlins US headquarters is in Hendersonville NC which is about 20 minutes from Cane Creek's HQ in Fletcher. I also seem to remember that Luca Shaw's dad worked for Ohlins USA...

4/27/2023 9:03am My guess would be that the suntour made fork & shock body were the cheapest/easiest to source and that the internals are a completely custom affair. I’m not positive but I think ohlins used to do something similar until they invested in making their own lowers/uppers for their forks
