9/29/2025 11:23am This is good to hear. I remember back in the late 80s, when lots of state offices just went ahead and shut mountain biking down in State Parks. Pennsylvania did this for sure, but I believe it was "a thing" in other states, as well, and in federal lands too. It was a combined effort of horse-back-riders, hikers, and birders, that basic closed access to many areas, and it took a decade before some of that started to roll-back. This woman's "the sky is falling" argument is illogical (it was a ski area already, duh), and out-of-time. In the age...

9/27/2025 9:21pm I was just checking to see if anyone has talk talk about Jack Moir, but it seems like you are the only asking about him. It is weird he hasn't been mentioned. Talented racer who has some injuries the last two seasons, but makes killer content and Moi Moi TV clothing I own several pieces. So he should be a hot commodity this off season. While I am talking Enduro, I know Chris Ball kinda left it out in the doghouse. There was a time that it was great. I know it can't be broadcast, but they did a great...

9/26/2025 9:26am Sick to see it showing up in people's hands and hear how it's riding! I just ordered a Rekon and Forekaster for my short-travel trail bike. My plan was to have a three-tire collection. Rekon, Forekaster, and DHF (which is currently on the bike). Then, when the DHF wears out, go to this new Dissector because I absolutely do not...

9/26/2025 9:22am I recently got the new Dissector v2 (MaxTerra EXO 2.4WT) aka baby Assegai and it is exactly something I always dreamt of for a short travel trail bike (140/130). I use my small bike for XC type riding in the rockies. Conditions are usually very dry, loose dirt and loose rock on top of hardpack. The side knobs are wide yet not too tall. This makes them very stable and gives you that DHF level locked in feeling during hard cornering. Lack of side knob stability was my main complaint with Forekaster v2 and this solves that. The center tread...

9/25/2025 8:03pm Paying riders and content creators while not selling bikes is a Coffin move. From what I understand is they released new bikes, the Geo Evolution happened and Their Models were instantly outdated. Paying a families lifestyle like porters, heavy sponsor of Seth and many other Youtubers Just Dug them a hole with their outdated Bikes. I'd love to see brands Marketing Teams numbers when sponsoring Riders and creators, like does it actually do anything? is there any ROI? I've only out-right bought 1 bike because of a creator/rider which was Phil and the Latest GT Force.

9/24/2025 7:37pm Maxima plush 7wt - you can get small bottles of this pretty easily so it would be my first pick anyway. I like Motorex oils most of the time but RS shocks can be sensitive to viscosity so I probably wouldn't mess with that, especially when you are changing tune. Slick honey is great, use it for everything Soft jaws are crucial but you don't really need shaft clamps for an SDLX Air valve tool is the main thing Loctite 263 is also fine - not super critical but you can read loctites data sheets to check if they are...

9/17/2025 1:01pm I did end up ordering a Wolf Tooth 40cc pump based on posts from this thread. It's much more compact than my OneUp 70cc (so should mount better inside my Glovebox, and have better clearance above my bike's shock on the top tube bracket). Like someone said, gravity casings never flat on me, so the pump is just insurance on backcountry rides, or to help out poor fools running EXO casing tires. To me, the pump makes sense to have readily available (especially with a plugger in its handle), while I'd rather have a lightweight tube protected inside my hydration...

9/17/2025 10:25am I don't have a bottle cage mount there but I use an Occam Apex strap to hold a tube and tire levers in that sort of "near the headtube" space on my bike. I used to also have my multitool there but I've moved it to my hydration pack since then. You could get something like this: https://www.fidlock.com/consumer/en/twist-toolbox-bike-base/09635-p0000… or this...

9/14/2025 9:16pm It's not so much "I need a company to tell me what to think of their bikes."
