There is no way Jack chose to run Fox/TRP, has to be a forced move. Especially this late before the season. Will be interested to hear the reasoning.

Richie running new Fox coil and new shimano brakes/rotors. Also still has neo sensors by calipers but doesn’t look like Neo shock. Maybe just left them on as he’s offseason testing

Has anyone checked to see if the patent office is still a thing? Could be that none of this matters anymore . . .

I've made POV comparisons for top 4 riders, you could check it out on https://ridetop.app Seems like Asa had worst start(first minute) among top4 and not only because of mistake Jackson had worst finish among top 4 Jackson vs Asa: https://ridetop.app/compare_vs/?ids=929103534,646124841

"While Pivot’s precision-engineered bearings are designed to last, this program ensures riders are covered in the rare instance a replacement is needed." Lol. Tell that to all the Pivot linkage bearings I replaced as a shop mechanic. Not saying they're worse than any other brand, but "rare instance" is pretty laughable. Nice of them to offer this now... tough luck for the owners who needed all the bearings in one or both links swapped in past years.

Here's a Slayer prototype frame built in 2018 IIRC. I have another example of an earlier prototype built with a chip that allowed a low or mid-height main pivot. I'll have to fire up my external drive (cough I'm old..) to get a photo.

I won't profess to be a patent expert nor have i read what the Canfield patent covers but we built a few prototypes at Rocky years ago with adjustable main pivots. I believe prior art could be applicable here and nullify Canfield's application.

Just focus on places that are on private land. Just off the top of my head for places out west: Granby Ranch in CO, Angel Fire, Big Sky, Northstar. I'm sure there are others. Still a heavy lift to host a WC, but it at least removes the Forest Service as a hurdle.

Shout out big privilege, he's a good dude. Always up at mountain creek, just a normal dude that likes riding bikes (with a rap career). I love that it he brings representation for a minority in our sport.

Honestly with Whiteface on the calendar this season (and for a few more to come likely) we just need one more race here in the US to put DH on the map in North America (mainly because we have US Open too. A lot of people say west coast, but I think we need a Colorado race, some of the best ever US DH tracks have been in CO! With Vermette, Blevins, Amos, Batten etc... all from CO and the Durango bid for 2030 Worlds we need that WC ASAP

I wondered the same, but there may be less of an effect, because the driving frequency is not constant and unlikely to match the resonant frequency, and the links only approximate a flexible object, meaning they can only oscillate at finite points (every 1/2 inch), rather than being able to form continuous waveforms. The finite length of the links effectively...

Regarding the position of the STFU: A length of material spanning a distance at tension will have a resonant frequency. Cutting it right in half with something that would contact the material can cause it to resonate faster at the same velocity on both sides of that contact because that contact essentially creates a point around which the whipping motion can pivot. Guitar strings do it. Wires stretched across distance at tension do it. There are multiple potential resonant frequencies along the length of the material and creating a pivot by limiting motion at one point can cause that material...
