Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
The injury list is insane for a single event, pure luck that Erice, Elise, Edgar and Ronan didn’t have more severe injuries (ie. permanent paralysis).
video interview with erice after her crash. it shows the crash at like 1:15 or so if you don't want to see it. erice is a beast! wishing her all the best in her recovery.
I've made POV comparisons for top 4 riders, you could check it out on https://ridetop.app
Seems like Asa had worst start(first minute) among top4 and not only because of mistake
Jackson had worst finish among top 4
Jackson vs Asa:

Curiosity question?
How much do Jackson and Asa weight? There was a lot of talk about Jackson's light weight having and impact on his riding at WC races, but his light weight would lessen his momentum and make it harder to retain speed over the big jumps at the end of the run. That could account for some of his relative performance loss at the end.
man. she barely cleared it the first two times. I'm sorry, but disaster waiting to happen. Reminds me of Forkner's SX crash last year - he cased that jump 6 times in a row before eating it onto the concrete, but with similar injuries.
I recall Nina Hoffmann saying in an interview that she and Jackson weighed about the same, about 70kg. I think Asa is a few cm taller and probably heavier. They're both young guys and may bulk up a bit over the next few years.
edit
You know what, weight doesn't matter so I take this comment back
What is this, Red Bull Waistline? 😜
He is also reportedly taller now and had to raise his bars according to Sven Martin. Asa has also stated in several interviews that his goal with training this winter is to "get big".
Cool app. Did you build this?
Was Rónán wearing a back protector? Very lucky boy if not.
I grabbed this from one of his practice clips
yep, you are free to use it, maybe not the best UI, but only you need is to upload POV video
Alpinstars A-6 plasma, certainly did it’s job
gravity does not agree with your statement... back in 2023 Jackson got down to low 50s kg.. i thin he should be around 60kg+-... so regardless of comparing against any women.. he is in disadvantage in some flattish tracks.. probably the other way around in super steep stuff.. I see this with my son who is 40kg, probably 15-20 kg less than the guys he races against..
Nina is bulky now compared to 2 years ago.. I guess looking for strength.
Yes, I have this issue riding with my pals. If coasting down a hill behind them, I am continuously yelling at them to pedal so I do not have to brake. They are all a bunch of light weights at 80-85 kg whereas I am 110 kg.
Jackson has to pedal as seen in the race run to maintain his speed on the lower part of the course, as a lighter rider.
That'a really neat! Any reason I can't/shouldn't upload POVs from my local trails to compare my own runs w/ my friends?
I don't know any reasons not to upload POVs either) Just try if you have such intent. If you face any technical difficulties I'm ready to help. Also there is a private mode when track is visible only for an author and by a direct link, so you can experiment with the app
This is really fun to play with. Thank you.
This looks like a really useful tool, amazing well done! Does it automatically identify track position from the uploaded footage?
yes, it automatically matches the start and finish of tracks, but for the first uploaded run you have to mark the start and end points, there is a user interface for this action
