As far as the denim destroyer, Although he loves the jeans because of their protection and such like he said, I'm sure if you gave him free dh gear and a pay check he'd be fine keeping them in the pits.

Pretty sure Vali signed a 10-year contract with YT when she was 12, but I'll confirm.

Martin Maes will win in Les Gets next year. And so will Vali Höll. You heard it here first.

Bolted on independent brake arm, extra bolted on bits for a longer wheelbase and crazy flame paint jobs are making me feel 16 again and I love it! Long live the late 90's DH Scene

Interesting idea but I’d be curious to know how it rides without center knobs. As I front tire it has to handle steering duties as well as cornering, and when weighted could end up riding on the side knobs since there is no tread down the middle. It’ll be interesting to hear to what degree this might affect steering response/control and rolling resistance. Good to see a design that dares try something new instead of mimicking what’s already out there.

I want to see actual videos. No "you figure it out" games, I mean seriously - people spend all day on the Internet whining about stuff... but when it domes down to the actual why are people so afraid to link who they're calling out? Like... what's the original video person going to do to you anyways?

thanks for chiming in, aaron. it's crazy this whole ordeal turned into such chaos and wasted time. i woke up this morning to a billion texts and emails about all the drama. when the vid was posted yesterday, i didn't know it was a "leaked" video. i also chalked it up to "world cup riders are gnarly. they do gnarly things. they break stuff," and figured that the rest of the mtb community had the same reasonable way of thinking. i knew some people may comment on the crank break, but the newsworthiness of the video was that you hurt...

I’m more upset he threw John Hall under the bus. The man is an absolute perfectionist, and there is no way a 3 year old defective part was used on a brand new build. We all know it was a squeaky clean brand new crank provided by ethirteen. Broken parts are a part of racing, call it that and move on. You can’t control the media Aaron. We are curious fans, and comments like that just further distance you from the people support your career.

You can tell Aaron’s a perfectionist. He likes to be thoughtful and accurate so asking for interview questions ahead doesn’t really bug me. I’ve done the same for a newspaper article that probably nobody ever read or cared about but I kinda suck at on-the-fly questions so I asked if I could get an idea of what they were wanting to know about ahead of time. If you’ve ever transcribed a conversation between friends it sounds good to listen to but reading it is awkward with all kinds of ums and yeah mans. Long live the podcast!

Great name! Both Courdurier and Maes so far this year are the "Untouchables". And as always, best coverage and photos in the business.

Dirty Dan cut or not drags more than a Magic Mary. In the article it is stated he has the dirty dan for more grip.
