I miss when people used to draw silly little drawings of things. They were fun and whimsical and now its like "oh, a computer made that with no effort" and it takes the fun out of the photos.

Resident Korean resident here 1. Things to do on bikes... RIDE!!! The race weekend is also the start of the bike park season locally. There are three parks within an hour of each other, two within five minutes. Alpensia Bike Park is literally right next to Yongpyong. The parks here a different from Europe, smaller and still growing. Wellihilli is further west at lower altitude and has fun runs. You could also ride in/near Seoul. We ride year round here and the outskirts of Seoul have some fantastic singletrack. Even some rock slabs with epic views on the eastern edge...

Their enduro team was done last year but they graciously kept me on board for this year with my contract having another year on it. Sounds obvious of course, but the bike industry isn't always so giving. The DH team took me in and I had a blast all year long, which was the main reason for doing DH at the end of the year. I just wanted to hang out with the team some more, and who wouldn't take the chance to race World Cup DH while they can. As for next year, stay tuned.

What if we chopped the injured riders into dog food during the season, to help cover expenses for the series? Or if we required donations of sperm and eggs from riders, which could be sold off to the highest bidder? Another idea: We could ask the riders to choose one of their parents, and if they don't make the cut for finals at least once during the season, we feed that selected parent to a pack of starving dogs. My main concern here is how we can make this race series more profitable. I believe we can do it, as...

It's not tennis. We should never put the pressure of having a minor take their life in their hands to win $3000 trying to beat a seasoned 10 year professional with an unlimited budget & depth of experience that simply can't be replicated. A 16 year old, well guided or not, would more often than not, risk getting paralyzed to get in finals. There will always be a Jackson or an Asa. But part of why they can put down a time that rivals the best of the Elite field is they're racing their peers. Teens. Removing Junior category leaves...

My two cents. I like watching “second tier” riders right along side the pointy end dudes. Especially when you get to see a rider develop over a few seasons. The rider that starts to qualify more regularly, then becomes a top 15-20 dude, then top 10, and finally a podium threat. I like to see this on the same courses as Loic and Jackson, it gives me scale. I love WC racing, I pay to watch. I am not going to suddenly start paying close attention to IXS Cups. I’ll look at the results of a Monster Energy Series race...

They don’t need a donation pool because the players already demanded one be created… NBA players receive between 49% and 51% of the league's "basketball-related income" (BRI). This percentage is guaranteed by the collective bargaining agreement and covers revenues from sources like TV deals, ticket sales, and merchandise. They also get comprehensive medical insurance funded by the league and players association for themselves and their families, both while they’re active in the league and after they retire. None of this was given freely to the athletes. These were demanded and fought for by the athletes through the players association and...

V+R Racing is just two mere peasants (well, a nurse and a medical device engineer). When we started out in 2019 the two of us were just buying DH bikes for junior riders who needed them. Many seasons and many riders later, we had two world cup DH juniors in '25 with one finishing second overall and the other finishing 10th overall. We obviously can't afford our own team, but we can still be a hat/helmet sponsor. I'm still driving my 16 year old car - it just comes down to priorities for us. And we're proof it doesn't have...

Hi all, I'm the 'Gosling' being referenced in the Bikeradar article. I had meetings in Les gets with five teams, YT being one and I'll start by saying that Gunnar Franke (Team Manager) is one of the best guys in the pits running a great team with awesome riders and staff. However we (Nukeproof) don't have the budget to go from 'no team' to one of the best, and highest budget teams in the pits when today we are not even selling any bikes. I also feel that we are not the type of brand that wants or needs one...

Not exactly an innovation per se; but Raaw has started offering the option to rent a toolbox full of all their adjustments included. You get it for two weeks so you can decide if any of those adjustments make sense before you buy. And, get a discount when you do decide to buy something afterwards. Pretty cool idea. https://raawmtb.com/en-us/collections/parts/products/raaw-factory-suppo…

After a dramatic week of building and practicing, competition day rolled around for the women of Rampage. The original field of 12 riders had been reduced to 9 as the start list was published, but unfortunately Harriet Burbidge-Smith and Chelsea Kimball also went down late in the game with injuries so we were left with 7. The weather had been a challenge in the lead-up to the event, but conditions were picture perfect on competition day (and looking back on it, the rain sure helped the dig teams carve out some good looking lines). This was the second running of...

Alright, Barstool style take here...feels like Bruni might be crashing out here (as the kids say). I totally get pulling out of a race after a big crash. But if you’re good enough to get to the top of the track and think about dropping in, its safe to presume you’re probably good enough to show up for awards. Hell, do a half-speed lap, wave to the crowd, shake Jackson’s hand...call it an (almost) victory lap. I know , easy for me to say from the couch, and sure, maybe something more serious was going on (delayed concussion symptoms). But...
