Riders: "We want you to keep 5-person podiums." WBD: "Did you say 'false facts hallucinated by an overhyped predictive text machine that requires near-infinite electricity to operate'? Can do!"

I thought you were right so I built one! dropperchecker.com Doesn't solve the missing frame insertion info. But still makes it a bit easier to make a call.

22-52? At that point you need chalk mate as that's rock climbing not cycling.

I agree. From my couch, Hardline doesn't look dangerous enough. I recommend more spinning blades and machine guns like "Death Race."

Kinda disheartening to see all kinds of crappy team politics creeping in MTB. It is not a team sport and access to World Cup should be based on individual performance. A simpler system would make more sense and be more fair. Let's have a couple of continent qualifiers open to everybody (and broadcasted as a wc by WCool anybody in the top 20 got a ticket to race wc. Teams then organize themselves around whoever can race.. We are going to see the value of WC racing dilute itself through the years..

For those playing along at home, here’s where we stand with the most ridiculous rumors so far… #3 - Phoebe Gale off FMD, going to Reece Wilson’s new AON team, after being prominently featured in the Orbea FMD press release. #2 - Aaron Gwin back to mentor the kids on lower budget Trek Factory after becoming a partner in Crestline bikes last year. #1 - Old man Dan Atherton returning to stomp $$$ DH podiums on a prototype belt drive after his most recent 57th at a 2018 Crankworx stop. There’s a few others close to the top 3, but...

Danny Hart's GT Fury caught a lot of attention this past World Cup season as it had some notable structural frame modifications to increase compliance. Dale, Danny's mechanic, is a veteran frame engineer and had some great ideas on how to fine tune Danny's bike to work best for his style and to eke out the literal hundreths of a second needed to win races. If you haven't seen these mods, check out this quick section of Vital's PIT BITS video here. Let's dig into each modification. This will be extra fun because I was fortunate enough to be the...

Your local bike mechanic doesn’t make enough money to enter a bike race, let alone buy a bicycle. The stock market isn’t the economy. The vast majority of americans are living one paycheck away from homelessness, in constant fear of medical debt, with less purchasing power every week due to the financialzation of the economy, stock buy-backs and sheer unregulated greed. Ymmv, of course.

I wonder what an Atherton steel hardtail would cost... Lugged. 12 sizes. Rigorously tested. Perfect bottom bracket. Perfect headset. Peace of mind knowing that it's all made as well as possible. Lifetime warranty. Long term support. A little caché from the name. $1500 is completely within the realm of possibilities there. What is your hourly wage at your job? Should people who have a job they like be paid well enough to survive and retire? Let's pretend this isn't a fully custom bike but a bike that'll be built boutique style but repeatedly. 6 hours to put together the frame...

Exactly, it's pretty cringey that a bunch of grown-ass men are dragging this kid on the internet just because an anonymous rumor says his parents are kicking in some cash to give him a chance to chase his dream. The kid obviously has some talent and happens to have parents with higher than average means. How is this different than sending your kid to an elite ski academy? Reece on Gamux is exciting - gonna get that $100k!

Full rider line up decision would be nice, but there's too much money for that obviously. (And to be honest there's too much at stake to have whatever panel of judges they probably have now tbh) Can't do a fan vote because then Brendog would take 1st which, while a great run, probably doesn't make sense at least for the entire format. Similarly, I don't think Semenuk should win on tricks with the current scoring format. TVS godziek and Silva had the most Rampage esque runs imo So, somewhere in the middle, a large panel of basically CURRENT riders (not...
