11/5/2022 6:41pm A lot of rage? That’s what countering your narrative is? anyway, you claimed in your post or at the VERY least inferred that eBikes were to blame. They are not. if “MtB” wants to be treated as a real user constituents they need to fight back. So unless the SCOTUS is who ruled on this case it should have been appealed. One thing I’ll give credit to Environmental Groups is they DO NOT give up as easily as groups like “MtB users” do. Fun fact… Congressman Tom McClintock DROPPED his push for Federal Legislation that would have codified MtB’s right...

11/5/2022 6:40pm The story about the trail closure in Montana, you’re blaming eBike for the closure of trails IN A WILDERNESS? While I don’t actually believe that a bicycle should be banned anywhere a horse is allowed, this closure had zero to do with eBikes. ANY MtB’s period were not legal in these areas. every arguement about ebikes boils down to one thing and one thing ALWAYS, people don’t want more people on the trails. Your comment that eBikes climb hills at 15 mph (bullshit) and they cause trail damage (please site the study) is spurious and frankly I’d say a weak...

10/30/2022 6:29pm The sheer ignorance, arrogance and jealousy in this post is amazing. The eGenie is out of the bottle. Maybe you should consider that public trails aren’t your private trails. FYI, Class 1 ebikes are not moped but you know that. I’m sure you also know that a eBike has no more impact on trails than a non eBike inflicts on the trail. So you really just come off as being dumb when you suggest otherwise. Finally, the real reason you don’t like eBikes is you don’t like opening up the sport to people who enjoy it on a bike that...

10/30/2022 6:28pm I’m way too fragile to ride on the dirt anymore even a simple ride on a asphalt bike path is questionable, but if I could ride more on dirt I’d be all over the ability to make 2 runs not to mention 3 on a eBike I’m too weak to push a bike or pedal on much of any incline, I did momentarily think I could’ve used a eBike to get me to all the doctors appointments because gas prices are now controlling my treatment needs but this option seemed too risky for my family so thats gone now. eBikes...

Jason_Schroeder Liked a forum topic Cable Routing - What do riders want?
10/14/2022 8:34pm It's been several years since internal cable routing was the latest and greatest feature to hit mountain biking. There were a few growing pains along the way, highlighted by excessive rattling and nearly impossible-to-route frame designs that were both (mostly) solved by internally guided routing. Nowadays, it appears most riders just expect frames to feature internal routing and are much more occupied with whether a bike is mixed-wheel compatible or has frame storage. But do riders really care or want internally routed cables? I know, the question you've been dying to have answered. But after working at a shop and...

9/24/2022 7:15pm All the information is available in the public domain on UCI site. There's not much smoke and mirrors with the UCI it seems. Contrary to what people seem to think. https://assets.ctfassets.net/761l7gh5x5an/2srMOd0YVoMoe45sGhZdV9/7be34c… Looks to me like UCI biggest issue is lack of vision, staff and competence to aim for big things with the world Cup. Now it's in ESO/discovery hands and sadly they'll probably corporatize it and dumb it down so much that it'll be meaningless to the true fans and not very interesting to the casual observer/viewer.

9/23/2022 7:45pm How about we crowd fund some prize money here on Vital and give it to the winning athletes after each race? Partner up with Venmo and Cashapp? Then we can do something about it rather than tell others what they should be doing. Anybody on here know how this could be done or want to set it up?

8/22/2022 7:54pm Okay edit: Whiteleys assertions that “they’re not gonna have EWS and DH at the same weekend” was incorrect. He has a stake in this doing well…maybe there’s a little “it’s difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on him not understanding it” in here? I dunno. Unconcerned with the future of EWS, only DH lol

8/9/2022 10:47am it is, but theres also many local enduros that are for that... same as Car racing, randoms cant hop in an f1 or Aussie supercar. But there is local race tracks etc you can go an race at. Sport? like NFL, MLB, NRL, union etc You cant go play with the big dogs that play for $$, there is local clubs for that. For more reference to bikes... look at DH... they only televise so many riders, next year even less.... just how it works...

7/27/2022 8:49pm Same reason Chevy race NASCAR and Alfa Romeo race F1. It's the ultimate in marketing. I can guarantee you that Canyon's DH bike sales for example do not pay for their DH race teams. Pretty obvious when you think about it
