in eddie's raw, it's so rad to see the elites hanging out and heckling the juniors during afternoon practice! the sidelines are packed during the jr training sesh.

Makes a lot of sense though to ban gas-powered tools in what is essentially a natural conservation area, for emission reasons. Plenty other ways to make noise.

Not sure if this has been discussed here, but on a local Swiss Bike Site they mentioned the banning of chainsaws at the Lenzerheide World Cup this weekend... Kein Scherz: Weltcup Lenzerheide verbannt Kettensägen vom Streckenrand | Ride Magazin Translated the text below for all the English speaking fellas. What sounds like a belated April Fool's joke is actually meant seriously: The chainsaws, which are extremely popular fan utensils in downhill, remain silent at the World Cup in Lenzerheide. The reason is that the race tracks are located in a spring protection zone. After eight years of the World Cup...

Im not convinced Marin is, I've seen them ramp up and they are working on a few bikes at the moment. Their bikes seem to of come in small batches and all sold out.

Interesting tidbit from Misspent Summers enduro coverage email… Whispers from Eurobike: We know this isn’t enduro related content (ERC), but rumours travel fast when you get the entire bicycle industry in one place. You’ve probably heard about the industry over-stock crisis (brands, distributors and retailers got a bit excited with their order quantities during the Covid bicycle boom. Now things have slowed down drastically they’re left with either massive excess inventory or bills they can’t pay – or both). Unsurprisingly and unfortunately, it sounds like some big bike companies will be going deeper into full crisis mode or even shutting...

I'm pretty sure there are welds on this frame, so... Status? Definitely not the current one, but the layout fits.

I saw that today, too. It could be a Status, but the whole point of the Status is it’s cheap because it re-uses tubing, linkage and hardware from previous model frames all cobbled together like Lego so tooling costs are massively cut down… so I feel like a ground up refresh would defeat the purpose. Definitely not a new Enduro from the rumblings I’ve heard, Enduro will continue on with a more wild linkage layout, not the yoke driven toptube mounted shock style. So all signs point to new Stumpy? Maybe just another weird one off like the DH bike...

New Status? New SJ Evo? New Enduro? https://www.instagram.com/reel/Ct4UXhJqhPC/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link… Looks very similar to Cannondale Habit as well...

Pretty sure it was Stumpy Evo, I would suspect the new Stumpy will be released, too, and would assume it's more important to have those bikes before a new Enduro that shares similar design que's to the Kenevo SL.

Saw the new Specialized Stumpy Evo yesterday at sky tavern bike park in Reno, predictably moved away from the cross strut and has same suspension design as the Levo SL. Was a sexy poo brown color, wonder why it hasn't been released yet as it looked like a production bike.

SX sounds more menacing than AM. They'll probably continue with SX, and my guess would be they'll bump the rear travel to 170mm (after all, the current SX goes to 173mm with the WRP link) and will put a 170-180mm fork up front. Smile

Here's another little detail I just found out about the new Commencal Meta V5: Internally at Commencal, within the official documentation, the Meta V5 is known as the 2023 "Meta TR". That could mean that they do really see it as more of a trail bike, which leaves some unoccupied space in their line-up for a long-travel single crown bike a la Canyon Torque. So maybe they are secretly also working on a long-travel version to replace the Meta AM and SX.

That's what we thought in May, and then for the first WC race, and now for Eurobike.
