Of all the options out there, I think signing with Trek would maybe be the least surprising. And the possibility is huge for some massive, crazy projects with backing from both Red Bull and Trek. Also, imagine what kind of insane, viking/black metal themed paint jobs he'll get on his bikes from the Trek custom paint shop. I don't love Trek, but am here for Brage getting paid and opportunities that only come from big sponsors.

idk ridemonkey users managed to scrape together about that much to buy itself out before their former corporate overlords were gonna pull the plug. i for one would pony up that amount, for me at least it's a far easier sell knowing my money would go to a proper mtb business rather than some international media conglomerate

If designed to the same max load, a 35 mm bar is approximately 10% stiffer. The required cross sectional area of the 35 mm bar is also smaller, so it would be lighter. Below is an example where the bar is evaluated as a basic cantilevered beam where the length is 400 mm and the load is 450 N. r1 and r2 correspond to the 35 mm bar and r3 and r4 correspond to the 31.8 mm bar.

Quick shaven ride update - still the shit. I finally had some good conditions for the steep trails. These things are strong as fuck.

Gave the oven cleaner method a try yesterday on some small parts, and it worked great. Some before & after shots of a pair of SRAM MMX clamps and Ergon GDH lockrings. I threw the parts in a paint pot, sprayed HD oven cleaner in it until they were covered, and left it for about 10 min. Then I stirred the parts around with a metallic pick and let soak another 5 min or so. After that, I removed each part 1 by 1 and gave them a quick scrub with a blue Scotch Brite pad to remove softened paint...

Tomac to KTM, Sexton to Kawi, Roczen & El Hombre kick starting it together on Suzukis, Bam Bam on a Ducati, brand new Yamahas for the Coopers, and Jett to possibly miss the entire SX series. It's going to be nuts on Saturday! 🤘

The Tillamook state forest trail system has some of the rougher trails for the Portland area, other than that the Dallas trails (not blackrock) I’ve heard are pretty gnarly.
