Going full circle :D @baronKanon a seatstay pivot is, mostly, a sign of a single pivot design. This does not hold true for the Norco prototype (the layout is flipped) and that design uses the top pivot as the 'main' pivot. With standard Horst links, the lower pivot is the 'main' pivot, thus it needs a chainstay pivot. Both the GT and the Cannondale use this type of linkage. The other way around is a single pivot, where you have seatstay pivots on classic bikes (Kona for example) or on the chainstay for a high pivot bike - Zerode DH...

The tone might be a miss for this launch, but MFF is a rad company doing a great job in the road market. I'm glad to see them dipping a toe in MTB and hopefully they can get a more dialed "we know what we're doing" vibe without losing their noteworthy inclusive vibe. I think we need more companies like this without the Bro Speak in MTB.

It's still up, and that hasn't been cut or anything so don't think that's the case. It's a very different thing from saying you don't like the bike to a pro racer saying that they didn't move on leaps and bounds with the testing they did, and that there's still a lot of testing to do to get the bike set up how they want. You wouldn't think that Bruni doesn't like the Demo for instance, or that Minnaar doesn't like the V10, but they do say quite often that it's hard finding the right set ups, or that they...

Was anyone really asking for a buttcrack pocket for phones? That seems like a place to put your phone only if you want to break it... Also, do you really want to put your phone next to your face or even touch it at all after it spent a long day of riding and sweating in that that area?

I wanted to comment on shoving a phone straight into the sweat crevice/fart channel riding smack on the tip of your spinal cord. You did better.

Rocky already did it with the new Slayer and killed off the Maiden. And I can tell you my new Slayer is an absolute beast. It's slacker than any DH bike I've owned, although it's been a few years since I've had one. There's also one in bike checks that was modded for 190mm out back and has DH fork on it. Having a big mountain bike that can take on full DH/park duty's and climb reasonably will be the final nail for half the DH rigs out there.

If you look at Wyn's instagram and the GTFR instagram it looks like he raced a DH race on this proto frame but with a dual crown on it. Between this and the norco team doing the same thing with the range prototype it might be a sign that many companies are totally phasing out DH bikes
