downtube storage with access from the bottom is in my opinion way worse than the solution from specialized and trek where it's accessible behinde the bottle cage... seems to me it's in the line of fire from all kinds of mud and grime and you need to tip over the bike to access it. I'd rather have a strap on my bike...

Rode through enough high speed rock gardens at ~28psi rear and 25psi front that I completely destroyed my i9 rear rim with rock strikes but the tire outlived the rim. 3/2/2021 2:04pm Having ridden both an S4 enduro and an S4 Demo this is very noticeable on the trail. The S4 enduro felt too big for myself at 5'11" but the S4 Demo sizing was spot on and much easier to maneuver/corner/jump comparatively. Not sure why they did the sizing like this but also not sure how one brands sizing falters makes...

What would be amazing, is that the Aurum/Range are infact the same bike! Imagine if it was a link or shock stroke change away from 170mm to 200mm (or 190) and a flip chip to adapt the geo for the fork. If this was the case, I'd be EXTREMELY interested. Can't justify a DH bike anymore, but those 2-3 times a year I do go to the lift accessed parks I sure do miss them. The geo's are no longer worlds apart, only the travel number.

Lol...tell me about it. You should have to work for every foot you ride on a bike...feel the burn before you earn your drop. I've ridden a MTB for years and probably have more miles under my belt than most. I could have gotten back on a regular bike with no problem. I've done it before with other injuries over the past 30 years of riding and racing MX. But when I tried my buddy's EMTB (Haibike 6.0 Fatty)...that was it...I'm getting an EMTB. I suppose certain people will never come to terms with EMTB's. Apparently the more difficult it is the better to keep outsiders away from "their" sport. They say it takes away some of the work...and it absolutely does. These are the same people that hit the down hills and then jump on a chairlift or load it up on the truck back to the top. Yeah, that's real hardcore right there.
