4/13/2026 7:38am Looks like the Romy availability in 27.5 size is very limited compared to the Hans Dampf. Any plans for adding more 27.5 options, or is 27.5 kaput?

4/13/2026 4:07am As someone who's owned several Santa Cruz bikes (including Nomad 3 & 6), I'd say the Bronson is a safer bet for most people. Especially the current one (v5) which can basically be transformed into a Nomad with different stroke shock and longer fork. I liked my Nomad but LOVE my Bronson 5. Its just more fun more of the time.

4/11/2026 5:54pm I’ve said it a couple times so apologies if it’s a broken record . The problem for me isn’t 150nm, or 1500watts. It’s 800% assist . Humans fundamentally make different choices when things are easy vs. hard . I can maybe go 20mph uphill on a trail on my meat bike , but only for an instant, then I’m gassed . So I never do that . When there’s suddenly no disincentive (it being exhausting) the total time spent of people going 20mph on blind single track is going to be much higher, thus the probability of isssue increases. At...

4/10/2026 3:14pm If you've ever paid for a service on a lefty you'll start to see why the roller bearing design isn't more common! I think the weight and complexity of a regular USD fork using needle rollers would be far too heavy and expensive, plus it must cut down internal space for things like the air spring

4/10/2026 12:25pm I love the Slaughter, some people claim it is too draggy. 🤷♂️

4/10/2026 12:19pm Add oil and the lefty moves 20% smoother while the RSU forks moves 2000% smoother. I pulled the numbers out of my arse but that test is simply flawed. I'd love a modern lefty too, but apparently the packaging of all those bearings and a well performing spring and a decent damper in one leg is allegedly a non-trivial problem...

4/10/2026 3:56am That's my son @brady_buck_MTB in action. He was so pumped to get to do the photo shoot on this one on his own trail that the SEH groms put so much work into. Give him a follow on YouTube, he'd be stoked.

4/10/2026 3:26am Funny you should mention the Edge 22. I tried one about 16 months ago. That tire has phenomenal cornering traction and it rolls fast and brakes just fine as well. The dual row of long and stout but not that tall side knobs hook up really well for turning. The rubber compound was a bit hard and it had a weird way of slapping the ground when it hit the ground from being in the air and the casing was not very supportive but the tread pattern works very well in spite of its odd appearance.

4/9/2026 11:32am Your wishes will be addressed soon. But also worth noting that enduro/gravity casing tires can only go so fast. A tires casing is one of the biggest contributor to rolling speed. See my previous comment about this exact topic.

4/9/2026 7:58am I highly doubt that any self-respecting bike brand would equip their bikes with S500 or S200 over Transmission. Even bike shops will have to explain to their customers why they can't just replace worn parts with the same new ones. IMO this is just a sales push towards Transmission, period, probably needed because the ole good Eagle works a bit...

4/8/2026 6:34am That chart is misleading as heck. There are no direct XX1 and X01 alternatives anymore.

4/8/2026 6:31am I made the mistake of getting a Xynotal and a Kryptotal in trail casing and endurance compound and they went straight to the heap of tires never to be ridden again. They are horrible.
