Wow, that was a tight and eventful race indeed! Congrats to Dan Booker who secured his first ever EDR World Cup win with just 0.3 seconds to spare, and to Hattie Harnden who showed she is the one to beat at the moment in the women's field (she'll need all the speed she can muster as she gets set to take on the DH World Cup in earnest as well this season - starting next week in Poland). Final race results: Men Women Junior Men Junior Women

Kudos to irish legend Greg Callaghan. He is the only rider still compiting that was on the first ever race back in May 2013 in Punta Ala. At the end of past year he was also the one with most races finished on EWS/EDR history. Isabeau was close and now that she is not racing, Greg stands alone as the one that has seen "all". Good to see him on top

Isabeau has retired from racing now, but she's taking on the next challenges in life with the same enthusiasm that brought her so much success between the tapes - getting into the media game while also preparing to become a mother! Best of luck to you Isa - and Peanut ;-) Here's a comprehensive PIetra Ligure race preview from Isa with on-track footage and commentary to help set us up for the action (which starts today):

The Scott DH team are running them also. I have had one on my bike for a couple of months now. Initially it felt good, then I felt it was a bit 'chattery' so have gone up to the hard spring to see what difference that makes. It may have also been the TMD hitting the inside of the steerer so I will check that also

Not quite yet, I'm going to wait until the next two sessions are complete before getting into that. After each run I record notes on general feel and "perception of speed" before looking at the actual time. It is already quite interesting in regards to the data, not the results I was expecting for this track. The shocks being tested are both Marzocchi Bomber CRs (Fluid Focus tune and Avalanche racing tune) and the Vorsprung Telum.

Ha! That was actually something our engineering team did in the earliest stages of the HR3 development as a proof of concept.

TL;DR, Fox reported and things are going as planned. No big red flags. Stock is up 9% after hours ontop of an additional 5% intraday. Management was quick to point out inventories are stabilizing and the bike industry might be voyaging into calmer waters, which frankly surprised me. The tariff thing is an overhang, but it feels more like the overhang has to do with the potential we end up in a recession, consumer confidence/spending softens and nobody is buying stuff - they have their ops pretty buttoned up for this sort of thing (it appears). If anyone wants the...

Cyber Cycles in Germany does make a tubular steel crank with sram 3 bolt chainring attachment. Cheaper than EEwings but not really budget compared to RF turbine or Shimano SLX/XT crank. https://www.cybercycles.de/en/cranks/cyber-cranks-or

£55 gets me a whole SLX crankset with a chainring and I have £20 left for a few pints at the pub. That is a challenging value proposition for a relatively simple turned metal part. Appreciate we are talking about a part for a £1000 titanium crankset.

Some neat stuff in here. I know Vital doesn't have the budget to send someone to China for an extended period of time, but would be interesting to have a series covering the China scene (riders, small builders, trails etc).

Copying the 5Dev cranks tells you everything you need to know about a company. All they care about is looks. The originals are a horrible engineering design. They should have copied Came Creek EEwings. But that would require some skilled welders and not just feeding a CNC machine. Innovation would be using ultra high strength steel from the automotive industry and make a tubular crank that uses the same axles as RF, Cannondale , FSA and all the others that use that same axle.
