9/11/2025 12:27pm There is a growing scene here. While things were regressing about 12-15 years ago, the last 7+ have seen major growth. We went from zero bike parks to five (two government-funded), loads of trail centers, a few "official," but most not so official, and government-funded pump tracks. The number of riders has been increasing, yet the mountain bike race scene has been dying. But that's more of an issue with event organizers seeing gran fondos as exponentially more profitable. Riders would love to have a proper race series again, rather than just a few events a year, and this is...

9/9/2025 7:44am Wasn't the Super-Bruni thing a joke a fan came up with a few years ago? I know Loic has said he leans into it for world champs weekend to try to get into an unbeatable headspace. Virtually every interview I have seen of him makes him seem like a good dude. Anyway, before talking up Jackson 4x gold titles etc, I'm seriously wondering if the Alran brothers arn't going to lock down every race next year. All the Commencal elites have been saying they can't believe the speed and lines their juniors are pulling off, and apparently they only get...

9/8/2025 7:23am Flosports sucks, and paying $30 to watch the race sucks. However I do not regret it since the race was phenomenal.

9/7/2025 3:55am It’s a rare day when someone gets a word in, let alone out-talks Needles. Is the constipated announcer being paid per word? Someone get this man a few drops of visine in his soy latté and a muzzle. I hereby declare that I will never shit on Carlson and WB ever again. Call me Doctor HuckABuck-Gooley baby!

9/4/2025 1:23pm I would just interject that potentially, not all HBO system designs are appropriate for all consumers. I find the HBO system in a smashpot effective, but pretty easy to setup wrong, impacting fork performance. Some rebound systems in forks I think are a bit more idiot proof, Manitou's HBO setup works well with a pretty trick rebound check system, so it's minimizing it's impact on HSR when a suspension event is deep enough for it to come into play. The smashpot system has a VERY large impact on HSR. In addition, in it's stock shim configuration (qty 5), 90ml of...

9/4/2025 10:55am probaby unpopular opinion, but i find champery to be fairly unexciting to watch due to the large number of berm/180 corners and lower speeds (which i know are mind-bogglingly fast for the actual track itself). the few sections where they're opened up for a moment and hitting stuff are great...that quick off-camber grass section into that left is rad. jackson's POV did a solid job of showing how insanely steep it is. i doubt i could even get down that track in one piece on bike or feet, but from a not-in-person, side-of-the-track viewing standpoint, it's a miss for me...

9/4/2025 8:48am Is it me or does the special paint jobs and jerseys make it really hard to tell who's who. Vital Raw is awesome though!

9/4/2025 8:28am I knew you would say that, that’s why I gave the F150 example. Why be mad that rich people subsidize our sport?

9/4/2025 7:12am I will never forget the poor 20 year old lifty at Panorama trying to explain why the 80lb folding fat E-bikes with a 12 stack of black and chrome spacers could not go on the lift while the couple who owned them screamed at them until he allowed them to try. I later saw them riding up the hill with no helmets at what must have been 45km an hour at full throttle.

9/4/2025 7:11am I don’t understand this sentiment. Spec still makes a bike at a price point for you, now they add a bike that means they will actually make money and can continue making the bike you want. But then they are lame for that. Imagine driving a Ford Focus and then you start shitting on ford because they build the GT40? Or maybe this would be more equivalent to driving an f150 XL then you whine because they build an F150 Lariat

9/3/2025 6:27am The 20k bike is brilliant- if they sell at full pop you make a huge margin. If they don’t sell and you mark them 50% off you still make decent margins. Also- we’re all talking about it.

9/2/2025 10:08am Think he really wanted that rainbow jersey and he got it. I'm sure the Yeti team will be able to lock in a spot - no reason the UCI won't want Richie and Tyler racing in elite.

9/2/2025 10:06am Anyone know the story on Richie Rude? Not racing but posting he’s out on a ride. Maybe trying to get ready for enduro world champs? Just surprising, as all the teams should be scrapping for points to ensure dh entry next year.

8/28/2025 10:03am Hey, I’m Ryan Burney. I’ve been engineering bikes for 8 years, and this is a breakdown of what I’ve learned starting my own small business, Rim Saver. In this post, I’m sharing everything I’ve learned while launching a product business in the bike world. What worked, what didn’t, and what I’d do differently. If it helps even one person take the leap or avoid a mistake, it’ll be worth it. Background I made the first version of Rim Saver in college. The idea started out as a beadlock concept, then evolved into a beadlock with rim protection, then just rim...
