I don’t know a single person who was running those rims. I’m sure they are out there but I tend to assume the issue was lack of business. I know Stan’s has said they don’t manufacture in the us not because it wasn’t possible from a price feasibility standpoint. But that the vast majority of their rims are oem. And since the vast majority of bikes/wheels are built up overseas it makes more sense to make them there and ship aftermarket rims here then make them here and ship oem rims there. I love what I do for work and feel privileged to be able to do it. But, if my employer wasn't paying me, I sure as sh*t wouldn't turn up for work in uniform. In fact they'd be lucky to see me at all.

This isn’t YT’s first time pulling the plug on a race team and not giving any notice. Ask Gwin about that. And according to the team manager in the video, they found out the same day the press release went out to Pinkbike, Vital etc. They all stated they aren’t getting paid anymore and are funding themselves for the final races. I can see why some of them choose not to represent YT on their jerseys.

Just watched the video, apparently team manager Gunnar is paying a lot of things out of his pocket despite absolutely not having to, now that is dedication and what a legend of a man. But in the end he also says all of the riders contracts have been/will be terminated so they are/will be free agents

Showing up to a federal land agency meeting with heat maps printed discussing decommission was an eye opening experience. It’s a great tool for them to identify and remove any trail that was a significant amount of time to build. Your 2 minutes of enjoyment likely was 100 hours of work or more. And it just put a bullseye on the trail when you published your ride. You can remove sharing heat maps on your settings, not make rides public and hide your maps. Or just not strava those trails.
