Ahead of the opening round of the XC World Cup this weekend in Brazil the athletes are making a statement to Warner Brothers Discovery regarding the five rider podium - here it is: ------------------------------------------------ For more than 30 years, the podium at the mountain bike World Cup has been five riders. A podium unique to mountain bike, it has provided countless riders and teams with more exposure and opportunities. It's been the breakthrough for many athletes and given life to smaller teams. Chasing a podium in our sport at the highest level has always meant a Top 5. It has...

Kate Courtney is in Brazil already, posted a ride 31/3 with a pic of what I guess is her regular BC40 with red SIDs. Yesterday 1/4 posted a ride called new bike day, she’s Called the bike BC40 sparkle, can only see that it’s got purple-ish forks; and has otherwise kept the bike hidden. Possibly new, possibly just a custom...

What do you mean baby a long travel rig? Have you seen what material gravity race bikes have been made from for the last........10 years? I've seen more catastrophically broken alloy bikes in that time, and Pivot/Santa Cruz customers just plain don't want Aluminium anyway

I used to be of the same mindset, having just broken an aluminium enduro bike, I'm not so sure anymore.

And yet entirely in keeping with the overall industry ethos. My biggest initial reservation on ebikes was around their potential implications for access. Rules vary a lot and in their quest for sales I can't recall any company providing any sort of guidance on potential "ethics". I recall one manufacturer taking a fleet of Ebikes on a dealer demo past a "no motors" sign in Whistler..... The implication that users will self police themselves is naive at best and disingenuous at worst...

I heard a rumor that this new ebike from Specialized can toggle between class 1 and class 3. If true, this blatant disregard for land and recreation managers from one of the United States' biggest sellers is pretty sh*tty.

I thought this comment, from the Escape Collective's Cape Epic coverage, was interesting and wonder how it stacks uo against Fox Neo... " A few riders using Flight Attendant had buttons in highly convenient locations and noted the need to be able to quickly unlock the suspension when a smaller bump or rut was coming up as the system, as good as it is, seemingly cannot react quickly enough for their needs. "

If the battery is removable, as it will aparently be the case, a smaller, lighter option should be offered. It's like, options are good, right? Most of my rides are under two hours, a smaller battery is a "cheap" way to save 1kg to 1.5kg...

Id put 6 of your watery american beers on you not being able to notice the difference between a 25mm or 30mm wide rim in a blind test. Ill provide all thats required, you just need to show up and prove me wrong to win your 6-pack (my comment is meant as sarcasm, I mean no offence, other than to try and add a little levity) As a reminder to all of us, What the pros do, and use, has little to no bearing on what works in the real world of owner maintained, and hack ridden bikes at half...

FWIW, Jack Moir is running EX1700 rims (laced to 240 hubs). If there's nothing shady going on (rebranded 471s for the sake of looks), he's running 30 mm rims.

Probably referring to the blank port with the system controller in it, that's obviously meant to be a screen. The gen 5 bikes have been waiting for the combo system controller/screen thingy since they first came out.

I thought you were right so I built one! dropperchecker.com Doesn't solve the missing frame insertion info. But still makes it a bit easier to make a call.

Problem is, we don't have a system of defining this. There are a number of factors that affect how much drop you can run. Ive got a 210 oneup in my large santa cruz (at 6'0"). got at least 50-60mm showing above the collar. that bike could have a 2 inch longer seat tube and I would be all "slammed...
