TEAMROBOT Liked a reply to forum topic Discussion: Fork Damping vs Spring Rate

Great question Brines. I'm totally bought into the spring as the more important system. I think you should do 90% of your tuning with the spring and let damping do the last 10%. I learned this the hard way in 2014 at the Leogang World Cup. I was getting destroyed by the high-speed chatter and constant small to medium-sized holes on the track. I couldn't hold a line anywhere and I could barely hold onto the bars. Turns out that growing up in Oregon where all the DH trails are smooth and flat didn't help me set up a bike...

For real. Curious, does anyone know the origin of the actual name, Stendec?

I used to convert all my non-tubeless rims to tubeless. My best results only used black gorilla tape (gorilla brand duct tape). That would air-seal spoke holes easily without needing to ghetto-tubeless-slice-open-inner-tube. Seriously, it's that easy.

Yes, clearly. I don't know how you argue that?

So many good options here. Finn and Loic were looking fast at Fort Bill even after their crashes, can they keep the pace up? Not too sure about Gwin after his massive ragdoll. Amaury is a solid choice, but I'm hoping that Troy can pull off a win and make this an interesting season. Sidenote, I've saved this for posterity iceman

Have we all such short memory? https://www.instagram.com/speed.police/

First things first, follow @speed.police, they are the real authority on this subject. I have seen a ton of clips on instagram recently which I believe are sped up. I'm not gonna come out and point fingers and claim I know for a fact that x or y is sped up, because honestly I don't know or have any sort of proof. I just have a suspicion and it got me thinking that there is little discussion about speed-manipulated footage in MTB. There's plenty of space online for a) people with ridiculous bike skills and b) people who are charismatic...

"STILL NOT GETTING ONE!" Agreed. But now we know that there is one thing good about E-Bikes... That passing roadies while eating burgers scene.

This Ancilloti is a freaking unicorn, the Pivot as good as it is can't compete. Just take a look at those brakes! And good luck to buy it for your bike...

You should check out the Leatt pants. Super comfortable and breathable. I've been running them on trail rides and they're great for anything under 20C / 70F degrees. Also one of the cheaper options on the market. When its properly hot out nothing compares to shorts though.

3 reasons. 1. because 97.5 is a radio station. B. "reverse mullet" is breaking our community apart and we need to come together. III. beavis and butthead would laugh at 69er. if we need to go to court over it, our lawyers said that the "6" could come from "650b" and we'd probably have the case thrown out.

Tested: Squamish, BC (8 Months), Durango, CO (2 Months), Phillipsburg, MT (1 Month). Ridden on steep rooty jank, all-day alpine grinds, flow trails, XC trails, and a bit of bike park. Rim: 27.5 DT Swiss ex471 (25 mm inner width) on 160 mm travel bike. Run only in the rear with a 2.3 Maxxis DHR2 DD, 21-27 psi. Rider: 6'1, 170 lbs. Flat pedals, upright/slightly off the back style. I hate (read: am terrible at) pedalling so pump/jump whenever possible. Huck Norris was one of the first companies to offer a foam insert to help mitigate some of the problems...
