I had a Mojo with X-Fusion. Friend was the local dealer and got offered a deal. Idea was to swap parts over time. It ended up with Fox 36 and CCDBA and full XT groupset as things wore out and items were in the sale. Still worked out cheaper than buying a better spec to begin with and I had it exactly how I wanted it.

These builds always perplex me. "Yeah, I definitely need a carbon frame on my DH bike... but the base model Boxxer and Vivid, and the MT520 brakes should be fine, right?"

I just got the Maven Base to test for Vital, but nothing to report yet.

Fox famously dabbled with an inverted DH fork in 2011, and quickly scrapped the project due to negative rider feedback, including excessive weight and torsional flex. 15 years later, they’re bringing back the inverted idea, but upping the difficulty by moving to a single crown platform. No, we haven’t been measuring sag wrong. Any method of measuring sag that is repeatable is an acceptable way to measure sag. As it is something that must be tuned as opposed to setting to a specific percentage, being able to repeatably measure sag is the most important thing. You can do this seated and measuring at the shock just fine. If someone wants to measure it with a whole bunch of kit that’s fine, but telling everyone they are wrong and do it wrong is silly.
