I've still not ridden a place that has "skimmable" whoops that are made like going down a set of actual urban stairs. Not a timing/pumping/hopping section...just a set that makes your tires go "brrrrrrrrrrrr" for like 30 feet. People try to make DH features point up like a set of capital A's A A A A A. I'd rather hit flat steps after back cut drops. For a DH bike, it feels awesome to find a staircase where the stair platforms are wheel to bike length spaced apart & just haul!

I had been running a TruTune in a 160mm Lyrik with a Lift. Trying to put off shoulder surgery until November since I can still ride at around 80%. Much more sensitive to my suspension and spending a lot more time with my wheels on the ground (i.e., gapping fewer rocks and roots). Grease under the bolt heads would effect the torque that you are putting on the bolt, just something to be aware of, assuming you use a torque wrench and care about this sort of thing.

Hey all, can anyone help with a huge dilemma I’m having? I currently run code rsc with 223mm galfer wave and galfer purple pads. These work great and tend to not over heat too badly for me, I also really like the lever feel. However I’m a big guy at 6’4” and 250lbs so have been looking at either some maven ultimates or hope T4V4 for more power, hopefully keeping a similar lever feel in terms of modulation. I had a Mojo with X-Fusion. Friend was the local dealer and got offered a deal. Idea was to swap parts over time. It ended up with Fox 36 and CCDBA and full XT groupset as things wore out and items were in the sale. Still worked out cheaper than buying a better spec to begin with and I had it exactly how I wanted it.

These builds always perplex me. "Yeah, I definitely need a carbon frame on my DH bike... but the base model Boxxer and Vivid, and the MT520 brakes should be fine, right?"
