indeed - and it's a pretty good tire! (at least based on my 2 days of testing so far...)

Just spent a week riding Kamloops (Sun Peaks), Revelstoke, Squamish and Fromme in North Vancouver. The Lewis LH4's are holding up great and felt like I had a ton of control and confidence going into some big slabs and some steep dh loamers. Tons of modulation and all kinds of power to work with. So far I've just had one quick lever bleed, but they've been great. Feel fantastic and look great (polished on a raw bike will never look bad). I'd be interested to see what they'd be like with a 220 rotor up front (as a big, 120kg...

It doesn't look like it has much seat post insertion available and the headtube looks to be a ZS56/ZS56 more commonly seen on proper DH bike. Can't find the picture of the new spicy but I would think the shock sits lower to make more space for the dropper which could be done with a different upper linkage if they...

Yes it is pretty much guaranteed Shimano is coming with new wireless drive train soon not only for MTB but also because they need a 12 speed Di2 1x derailleur for the gravel segment. Current mechanical 12speed gravel derailleur are just rebadged XT and SLX long and medium cage derailleur with a cable tension adjuster added.

99.999% chance that it won't happen but I would like to see Specialized sell the genie shock with the correct damping tune (if it actually need a different one compared to the gen15) for gen14 Stumpy Evo owners. This would boost the numbers of shock in circulation so suspension service center might be more interested in learning and stocking parts...

Xc racer like the insert mostly for the run flat capacities to be able to get back faster to the tech zone for switching wheels during a race. Don't think most of them care about the sidewall support or other characteristic of an insert.

FRIC does a different thing, prevents roll in corners and pitch changes under braking and accelerating but otherwise frees up the suspension corners over bumps. Inverters (and tuned mass dampers) oppose acceleration while dampers oppose velocity. FRIC just tunes how that is achieved. Springs oppose displacement obviously. And to have it stiff in heave they use third springs. As for inerters on bikes, it was actually @Dave_Camp .

Derailing obviously... Renault used a TDM, yes. As far as I read into it, having the force on the tyre in F1 as constant as possible gives you the best grip, any spikes in the loads influence this. So they were looking for a platform that would be even more stable. The suspension is basically rock solid as it's there, primarily, to support the aero platform. In the olden days (13" wheels) the tyre was an essential part of the suspension, less so with the move to 18" wheels (the sidewall is smaller). It was never mentioned that the TDM...

75mm stroke super deluxe were a stop gap for DH bike until the new vivid was launched. Now that both Vivid coil and Vivid air are available there is no value for Rockshox to keep making the superdeluxe air/coil in 75mm stroke size. Air can option for OEM spec is always up to the bike brand PM.
