Drivetrain have tons of patent from shimano and sram that make new player have a hard time circulating around not just for the derailleur and clutch but also cassette (shift ramp and such) and shifter.

Anybody notice how short Reece Wilson's stem is this weekend? Looks like a 20mm stem or maybe shorter. Santa Cruz hasn't been present at Sea Otter for a few year now even when the covid boom was still in full swing. They preferred to invite media to visit the factory the week before and have a open house/exhibit instead of having a booth 50 miles away in Monterey. I wouldn't read that as a sign of financial distress...

Looks like regular SID but doesn't look like the roval wheels have the torque cap installed. But that tire seems a new option from Specialized. Currently XC choice is Fast Trak or Renegade. This new captain look like a faster option than the renegade ? to compete with Maxxis Aspen that many were riding during this 1st round of WC...

I'd compare difficulty of installing fork bushings to that of machining and building an engine block. Sure the local dealer says they can do it. But I would only trust the factory that does it day in day out. It takes LOTS of special tools and gauges to do it right. Get the damper, service the fork. Don't worry about bushings.

@Uncle Cliffy mentionned the shorty but I don't think this could be an updated shorty. Shorty is currently set as 2 rows of narrow spaced center block between each wide spaced center block. So Wide/Narrow/Narrow/Wide But both Minion DHRII and DHF are set up as Wide/Narrow/Wide/Narrow for center lugs. Side lugs are more inline with how current DHRII and DHF...
