Does anyone know if Cascade will do something with the new Tallboy? It would be cool to have mullet link, especially if the 5010 is no longer a thing. Just doing my best to look for rumors for the remainder of the year.

Love summer of DH reviews!
Do we already know what the diaper bike is?

Maybe I missed it, but anyone has some Intel on Dunlop MTB tires? I haven't seen them before.https://www.instagram.com/bikedunlop/

One of my friends has had some early release ones without a hot patch on his Sentinel for most of the summer and I tried them out. Not sure if they are final production casing. Very stiff and heavy casing, like shrunken down moto tire, I'd say moderate damped and sticky feeling. Also quite round profile so I didn't love them, being more used to squared off Kryptos.

I would think they would perform best at high speed in fast dry sharp rocks, like Angelfire maybe? Or where really stiff tires are needed like Darkfest. Not the best on loose dirt or wet roots.

I second this. My 5010 with Cascade is the holy grail of bikes where the frame feels like a little bike, but it has 150mm travel for casing jumps, and is also mullet. The bike has no business being as fun as it is. It's a shame 150mm bikes are now "enduro" bikes because the lighter frame feel + 140-150mm travel is unmatched.

If I was a betting man, I think I'd put money on the new Devinci Wilson

Yeah, split pivot, and Tristan Lemire has been riding it. Can't tell if he's sponsored, but he's from Quebec so it checks out.

Surprised it has a regular drivetrain given their pedigree with the RN01 and regular motocross bikes. Their Mugen motocross bike seemed pretty well developed when it was raced at the Japanese nationals 3 years ago.

I don’t even know if that will happen! But if I had to make a rumor, it would be that Cascade is going to make a 170 mm Tallboy link.

*this may have happened at one point due to a CAD software glitch

Ahh, was this picked up before or after it made it to machining?

Attention tech nerds! I'm currently out at Sea Otter Europe, working on the coverage from today, I figured I'd drop this here for you guys - KYB is coming to MTB! The upside-down fork shown here should be available as of November. It's got a few cool features, like the ability to run it in 27 or 29 configuration by sliding the fork legs up and down in the crowns (because the crowns are bolted on)! It's a coil fork, but it also has an air pre-load system in which you can run between 6 to 9 psi of air to add preload. It's a 20mm axle.

They are also working on a coil shock, this one is a more classic "coil + compression + rebound" kinda deal.

Interesting!

I am both excited and horrified.

I figured this was big enough news to post in the "main" thread

Think this is actually a good thing for mountain biking.

Hopefully it brings us a step closer to making a distinction between MTB and bikes with motors. Sure does it for me by the looks alone.

Odd design choice to have adjustable legs on a single crown IMO. Very small sector of 27.5 front wheeled bikes these days…

It will allow for 32 stanchions too, so you only have to make one crown to cover every size. That is my theory, anyway.
