I believe Cairns is the track they propose to use.

Goodman Santa Cruz to become Burgtec factory racing with Ratboy as the line spotter?

On the subject of Santa Cruz, the syndicate’s sponsor lineup looks like it’s getting a bit messy - Burgtec, one up and Peaty’s all kind of make the same products now and it seems like the riders are mixing and matching. I’d guess they’ll be forced to go all in on one up at some point now that they’re a part of Pon, maybe they’ll even let Chris King go?

Also interested to see what they do about o-chain now that it’s a sram product.

As much as I like the idea, the Pleney gondola does not give much vertical for a world cup track. It's a very fast lift, but only gives around 500m vert (less than Fort William), if you hard a world cup level track, descending on the steep gradients (rather than meandering like mainline), it'd be one short race time. I don't know what the terrain from the chairs above the Gondola is like.

Looking at my 2025 copy of Hurly Burly, most WC tracks are around 500m drop or less. La Thuile, MSA etc.. are kinda outliers. So Morzine would be perfect. But I imagine unlikely due to there not being much space at the bottom of the resort for team semi trucks etc?

Not a rumour but I remember how much crap Felix Griffith got in the 2025 rumours about only being on Syndicate because of $, but the kid’s pretty damn good. He’s no Alran, Vermette, or Goldstone as a junior but still impressive.

From not qualifying in 2025 to become a podium contender in 2026 is good personal development.

I hope that syndicate sees it as a good development as well… 🤞

I wonder of he'll be cut loose at the end of the season  to make room for another Junior since i find it hard to see him making the top 30 next season . Syndicate showed they werent going to be carrying any passengers when they let Greenland go

Fair, and actually looking at the French champs they held on Pleney a few years back (sick track), it did give race times over 3mins. https://www.rootsandrain.com/event6548/2018-jul-29-ffc-french-dh-national-champs-18-morzine/results/

Certainly not much (any) space for team trucks or event infrastructure though. The Les Gets crush at the bottom of Pleney wouldn’t be too clever.
I guess issues around off piste riding on Pleney probably don’t disappear just because you want to build a race track either?

Canadians Megan Pretorious and Mack Manietta moving to U19 in 2028 I believe

@boozed no relation,  but both did BMX back in the day in NZ. Addison & Camden (Nukeproof) are siblings.

Ernest Rutherford

Apologies for the obscure joke.  But also, not entirely far-fetched...

After a long and illustrious career that includes national and regional titles, multiple World Cup podium appearances and one World Cup win in 2024, Eleonora Farina is calling it a career. Congrats, enjoy the next chapter!
