This is for people to find stuff out in the wild and post it like if a website messes up by posting a bike early or somebody sees something in the wild or spy shots or whatever not just straight up leaking stuff from your bikeshops account

Obviously don’t lose your job - but these are just brands owned by banks / syndicates / second generation founders nepo kids - and we are the 0.01% who care to see this stuff. newschoolers.com has an epic next year gear thread where everyone is sharing catalog snaps and tradeshow samples. I think this audience is hyper niche and most of the stuff on this thread never makes it past this group of weirdos. I’m sure bike brand product managers lurk - but they already know this stuff.
Spy shots in the wild are truly the gold standard. But anonymous drops of freshies - if you can - keep this thread HOT!

But leaks are good for riders because we don’t have all the money and deserve to know when we should hold off on ordering a new bike or when we should consider selling the one that’s about to become outdated…
Most ski companies want their warehouse empty by early December, remaining items are closed out by January. There is some carry out over for lower churn segments like kids and backcountry.
The ski industry is still making good money by selling new top sheets and colors each year and they will probably keep going. The least technology advanced products with the least R&D cost have the best margins. Sony get me wrong, ski technology is innovating and improving but compared to a bike the tech is more mature and people typically buy with shorter time horizons in mind
I'm surprised Trek is diving in already, given that their last few launches haven't exactly seemed to stick like other option, even though they likely should have. I'm sure we'll all be interested to see if 32 takes off or whimpers. Not to beat a dead horse, but now having 6 months on a 29" XC bike for the first time in over 10 years, I can't see 32" working for people under 6ft in most technical applications. At 5' 8", the Chisel feels like its on the edge of being too long for even post 26" built XC loops unless you're going full wide open courses.

Don’t disagree it will be a hinderance. But for xc riding I tend to doubt the pros don’t outweigh the cons. Honestly I’d think the extra tire weight would be a bigger adjustment based on my experiment with 29+ tires

I'm going by memory only, but not seeing anything obvious that would suggest it's a new bike. Any insight on what tipped it off or are they really just doing a nearly-identical bike with some geo changes (assuming it is actually the new Blur)?

As someone who owns multiple Singlespeeds, I wouldn’t even pay that much. I’m currently running a SRAM DH derailleur as a tensioner on my SS epic...

I announce a bunch of xc races on the east coast…it’s been a few years that the top single speed racer has been on anything except a full-suspension bike with an unplugged battery.

I had no idea that’s how people were racing SS. As a SS aficionado, I’ve seen a few workarounds with the slope style tensioners, one of them advertises the biggest compatible rear cog is 17t but plenty of guys have squeezed in an 18t and made it work. Other guys have used the Wolf Tooth goat link along with the slope style tensioners to clear a bigger cog. I had a 7 speed DH derailleur in my parts bin, I’m running that with 32x18 on my epic. I just built it up so no ride reports yet.

It's shocking because the EDR is renowned for its long, guelling climb stages where gearbox efficiency really comes into play. Really revolutionary stuff!

I don't know for sure, but someone on MTBR posted that size large would have 66 HTA, 75 STA, and adjusted stack and reach. If the HTA number is accurate, that's a pretty massive change - from 68.3. That's close to the Tallboy.
Here's a couple more pics. Maybe someone can pull HTA off of these pics with a bit of sleuthing. Reported number for reach and stack look super close to the current design. They added glovebox. If that's the only change other than color, then perhaps not really interesting.

First off the Vanth is a sick bike. I would love to ride one at some point, but it doesn’t really make sense for an enduro race bike or daily trail riding from what I have gathered. The drag, weight and in the Vanths case reliability doesn’t me itching to grab one if I were to go enduro racing. Huge props to those guys at the EDR making it work though.
