The only really practical case I could see for swapping back and forth would be if you mostly raced dh and rode park in the summer and if you lived somewhere where you could train and do more pedaling in the off season. Sea to sky kind of situation, were you ride Whistler park all summer, but then ride Squamish and North Van all winter.
But I'm not sure anyone will be swapping back and forth on a regular basis.
new all-carbon polygon collusus t8 from $2999 to $4999

I do like the idea of having the option to mix "enduro" front and "DH" rear. For example a single crown DH Build or a dual crown enduro build. Nothing revolutionary but people love to tinker around with their bikes, myself included.
I think it's the people who like to tinker who will take advantage of bikes like the Orbea.. DH bike with a dropper and 12 speed to be able to pedal better..
idk if this has been spotted elsewhere already and I missed it, but it looks like Kona has a new dh bike? From the new Caleb Holonko edit, thought it might just be a process 153 but the seattube here definitely isn't anything on their site. Looks sick with the og kona logo
Ohhh that logo.... shivers! Thats got to make a year of production. At least a limited edition.

Pretty sure that just a circa 2021 alloy Operator that he custom painted with old school Kona logo.
Canfield One.2 has entered the chat.
The Entourage was one of the funnest bikes I ever owned. The "mini-DH" bikes of that era, like the TR250, were so rad. Probably too niche to make it back into bike brand lineups, however, especially in these times and with many in this demographic moving to ebikes.
For sure a 27.5 operator. It’s a shame they don’t sell that bike anymore. No frills aluminum crab. Basically the same concept as the bottle rocket everybody is hyped on.
single pivot ≠ crab
Duh! I totally forgot Kona was single lol
Not sure if these guys have come up yet, but I just got to pop around on one. The DJI motor certainly blew my hair back a bit more than I expected, but the bike itself felt extremely dialed.

You sure that's not a Sight VLT?
that's a Trek Slash+
allied bike that was posted about a few pages back. This was from ed masters most recent vid.
If I’m not mistaken there’s a forum for this.
Easily mistaken for the real thing.
New wheelset from Trail One https://trailone.bike/products/the-shed-wheelset
It is pretty similar, both are I-Track.
It sure would be interesting to know which catalogue wheel this is, because the way the sticker radius doesn't match the rim screams "we bought these at 200$ and are selling them at 800$"
I know this thread isn't supposed to be about opinions but come on at least match the radii
Maybe the shed they're referring to is the bong shed?
Also odd that they don't show what the internal rim width is or even a basic cross section of the rim? They look wide, but what's the internal width which will affect your tires shape when inflated.
How wide is the shoulder the bead sits on? is it wide or something narrow that will burp easily?
They also look kinda shallow, I've never had much luck with shallow rims lasting, in my riding experience the shallow rims are the ones I kill the most easily.
Can't say they are filling me with trust/confidence without basic info like that.
More pics and info about Kayaba fork. Coil + air spring (like in old Marzocchi?) 20mm axle, weight 2900g, price ~1650$

Does it come in black?
Looks like a Ryde Edge series rim. Weird they put a photo with a mangled nipple front n center:
I realize that's a bit obsessive, but as a wheel builder this matters.
The crown on that KYB strikes me as excessively sculpted. Might just be the angles, but it looks reeaal light.
Revel shared a sneak peak that matches that bike pretty well. Is that the new Revel?
Yes https://revelbikes.com/product/ratical/
