Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
I'm not racing chucklenuts.
And you still gave me NO answers to my questions. Be on a team, be on a team, be top 50, 3 USAC riders.
Continental?
National Champion is the ONLY race example you gave. Anybody can copy & paste the USAC page.
I asked WHERE is the list of races you can race to qualify for a World Cup?
Can't be top 50 UCI if there isn't a list of UCI points providing races.
Can't race a "continental" if there is no list of Continental races.
Can't be a "Federation" racer if there is no list of races to go to that put you on the list
Teams can't "keep the points" if there is no list of races that give points
Crankworx races are "C3". That's it...that's the only list of races & don't even know what "level" C3 is.
There is a list of continental races, but I dont know where it is exactly. But for the federation races. If you want to race for the US you can go on USACycling website, fill out the petition for a spot and if one of,I think 3, racers chosen you can race for the US. You dont need any specific. races, but when they compare you to other petitioners you should have some results somewhere if you want to be considered.
I literally hit search on "Continental Races WCDH" and got this (from pinkbike.com) .
Not sure what search you did.
Why is it so impossible for you to demonstrate basic decency in a conversation? You find yourself banned from every single forum you join.
Did they pull Roger off again? That seems like a dumb move considering he's the source of some of their only points this season (and just won an urban DH).
Fnarr Fnarr 🤣
All joking aside I can't find an entry list for Les Gets, but he's still listed as a PFR athlete on the Whoop/UCI info site for the race.

Edit; Something weird is going on with my feed. It sporadically tells me I've blocked Bizutch's comments, despite me not consciously doing so. Go back to the page 2 minutes later and I can see them again. Is Vital trying to tell me something? 🤣 FWIW I've got no beef with you Bizutch.
les gets riders lists are back 1 page. roger is on the list. here's link to pdf - https://chronorace.blob.core.windows.net/webresources/20250821_mtb/entr…
if a post gets 10 downvotes (i think that's the threshhold), it gets hidden and you can manually unhide it.
Where the comment was there's a message that says "You have blocked this (show comment)". But it's not every time I open the page. I guess he might be getting up/down voted and that's why, it just seems a bit weird.
Also heard sram was dropping their sponsorship of CWX, which seems possible given rock Shox is title sponsor of uci World Cup now.
Anyway viewing at creekside blows.
Wyn hinted at a new Hardline stop on the track walk when chatting with Finn and Roger. Jackson hinted at something closer to home (I think on one of the Tasmania vlogs with Matt Jones). Would be definitely be cool to see another stop.
Your question is whack go back and read the forum in February. Do some math use your brain, figure it out. It’s no secret how to qualify these days. Your posts are bogus you add no value to the community. please sign out and never post again like me after this post. no one wants to hear another @bizutch or @BGoldstone post again.
@BGoldstone catching strays (they are not the same person FYI)
I thought I'd seen it all... But then I saw someone hate on Bgoldstone in the Vital forums. A dark day indeed.
(I can only assume they tagged the wrong person? Bgoldstone might be the most objective info, non-opinionated poster in the entire forum.)
the other big rumor at crankworx this year (and last year, so who knows) was a hardline squamish or north van stop. timing before whistler WC would be pretty ideal, eh?
Seriously. That deserves an apology for tagging the wrong person in the call out.
Thank you. You & @amaranth have given a glimpse. If someone has a list of events that qualifies, they can point me to it when I ask for a list of events.
I had a conversation with a 19 year old kid & he said "How do you qualify for the WhiteFace World Cup?"
I realized that I didn't know. I looked it up. Didn't find a list of SPECIFIC races.
I didn't know what a "Continental" race is.
Pretend I'm a kid into downhill & I want to know instead of bizutch & be helpful.
So now...I've been given exactly TWO events in the US that could qualify someone to race the US World Cup DH.
Rock Creek in April 2025
National Championships.
So this forum is telling me there are exactly TWO United States downhill races where a teenager can get UCI points to race a World Cup?
There are no other races in the United States that give UCI points?
Are UCI points even a thing?
Why is this so hard and why is everyone so pissed at me for asking a question and not getting a direct answer?
Jacko been hinting at that for a bit and... It sounds more so like 'in the works' as opposed to 'dream one day'. I forget exactly where I saw him talking about it. But he just had a big smile saying 'we have a zone in mind' and the way in which he didn't want to say more kinda implied... We're figuring stuff out/in the works. As opposed to just waffling about an idea he hasn't pitched/worked out yet. I'm almost scared at what they cook up if it's a local track to Jacko's standards lol
Would explain RedBull pulling out of Joyride.
Gee and Dan both around for crankworks this year. Wonder if they visited spots for building a new track?
I heard rumours of Britannia area…
Lol, wtf am i getting dragged into this for. But gives me a better idea of who went to the hassle to make a fake linkedin a few months ago to sh** talk me there of all places.
As far as which US races get points, go to the UCI calendar on the uci website and filter down to the mtb races specific to the US (or any country you want). It'll tell you which class it is. Last couple pages of the rule book UCI MTB Regulations will tell you how many points that event is worth. earlier in the same doc explains how else you can qualify.
I can't really see Rec Sites and Trails giving a permit to build Hardline on Crown Land in the S2S. Maybe they could find a way to build something in the AlpX heli tenure, but again that needs approval as it's not private land.
I'd say it's in the dreamers stage but happy to be proven wrong.
Another non answer but I'll never waste an opportunity to reminisce on how good the old EWS qualifying structure was:
Riders pay a $25 license fee to register with EWS and get points tracked. Points awarded for Elite series, continental, national and local sanctioned races with a point tier structure for each event level and finish position. Racers go out and compete in as many points races as they can during the season. The top 300 in points at the end of the season earn a ticket to the elite series. Podium finishers in high level events auto qualify.
Back in ~2016-19 the list of eligible qualifier events was pages and pages long on the EWS site with venues all over the map. It really felt the enduro scene was connected from the local events all the way up to the top elite races. There was a clear, attainable path for privateers to earn an elite starting spot. The local scenes were buzzing and the qualifier events really felt like the mattered and had weight. Once UCI switched to the current, limited (hurr) EDR structure with few events, interest has been collapsing.
Keeping an open, attainable structure to make the big show is what will fuel the next generation. But that's not how F1 works so we cant have it.
Les Gets Fantasy is open. Troy Brosnan only $100 this week for his 100th race, so don't blow it and not pick him : )

I was told they had a couple sites in mind. The Tassie trail builders were at crankworx and I believe (I haven't spoken to them yet) were shown around by red Bull for their thoughts. The Red Bull team were impressed at the Tassie course and safety standards and wanted their input on the BC course.
The name they were told is Hardline BC
Troy's a solid pick. He's done well at Les Gets.
- WC: 6th place in both 2023 and 2024 and 4th in 2019
- 4th place at the 2022 World Champs
- 1st place in 2017 and 2018 in the Crankworx Downhill
Britannia Hardline would be epic. No shortage of gnar up there. Gee posted a video of him flying around in a heli in the S2S during Crankworx. I was trying to identify the mountains on the background to triangulate the zone…
Informal USDH Fantasy Team for World Championships:

If they’re attacking BGoldstone on LinkedIn, I’m glad I’ve never been to LinkedIn!
speaking of, is there a fantasy thread for it yet? i know the last thing people want is hearing my unhinged fantasy theories before the race...
hell i might get called out by that guy if that happens.
