Richie entered to race EDR #1. Will he race, if so how will the tight turnaround with Poland DH #1 be affected?

I'm betting Dakota Norton is gonna be in the booth.

Dakota would be a good one!!!  At a minimum it would make sense to give Dak a mic as a quick guest on the broadcast or even a sideline correspondent at the finish or in the pits.  I love that folks are taking a crack at guessing who the next analyst voice will be, I promise to be honest if my sources are wrong when we get to hear the round 1 broadcast 😎.  I can say from experience it's a little wild west with that broadcast team at times so it wouldn't be unheard of if they make a last minute switch.  That's why I'm hesitant to outright say who it is in case the deal falls through.  I got pulled into their mobile studio at the 2023 Snowshoe World Cup to do some show intro voiceover and then it never aired because they were able to pull Gwin in to get the take instead.

I really appreciate Dakota's perspective on the Women's World Cup field.  He is close to that racing with his Friday Ronning (his girlfriend) being in the mix and could provide some good insight we don't normally get for the women's race.

Vital RAW from Pro DH Series Mountain Creek today. Weather shut the lift down 3 times, so it was an abbreviated session that ended with rain. tomorrow is going to be a soaker but the rims were a-pingin' today!

They're getting the authentic creek experience. Opening weekend they had to shutoff the lift because of high winds and power outage. Got a total of 3 runs in for the whole weekend. That being said it is my home park and the trails are awesome.

Mt creek is insanely rough on bikes in the wet.  Dirt is insanely grippy but it just seems to absolutely coat, stick, and wear in a way that other places do not.  Kind of like driving your truck on the beach.

Gamux don't have a trail/enduro bike yet.

Gamux don't have an enduro, and AON racing's sponsors include Pinion and Gates so Harriet would need to ride a belt-drive-compatible gearbox bike that can accommodate the sponsored Manitou shock

Gwin for the win.

Dakotah in 6th? The dream of a 2025 WC win for Stack Attack Dak might be alive after all.

So... With Harriett winning Pietra on a belted bike, can we assume

- she won the 100k belted purse, first try (?)

- all other belted DH teams are sheding a tear or two as they did not even raced ONCE before the purse was won (likely)

- everyone bitchin about "gearboxes are not suited for enduro bikes" might be a little quiter now (unlikely)

if the prize is not collected this year, (seems unlikely) they should change it up and double down for world chumps.

Hattie did win the EDR Overall last year on a derailleur. I don't think her winning or not winning is something a person could pin on a drivetrain. She seems to be good on bikes.

...she also has won in XC, Cyclecross. I get the feeling she's just really damn fast on a bike a knows how to win.

Bernard out with a broken wrist and hand, and Ryan Griffith sustained a concussion and a gnarly gash to his face. Apparently both crashes happened in the same section. Healing vibes and bummer news for the Pivot crew just days before the first race :/
