Actuaaaaly, if you check aonracng on instagram profile they only follow 24 profiles, obvious ones like pb/vital/uci/gamux/manitou/hayes/ gates/reece/sleeper/... but there is also an interesting one in the form of "kdrajd", Slovenian club run by the same people who have been behind the Unior racing in all of its iterations since day 1. This is also a team Reece also used to be a part of. And considering mention of Uk-Switzerland-Slovenia rumors that makes a lot of sense.

Jamie Edmondson is still not signed, right?

He could be a great asset to a starting team, UK based and plenty of speed on tap.

Also, my fellow spaniard Dani Castellanos would be fire for a team like AON. Young, fast and great with social media... Haha Reece I know you read this, make it happen please!

Using my brain (dangerous I know)

Who has half a shot at winning a race on a belt, I'm thinking Charlie Hatton and Reece Wilson are the best bets if Atherton/Gamux thing is confirmed. Anyone I'm missing?

Statistically, most wins come from past winners, with majority not on belt bikes this year. Charlie won worlds, and I think Reece was snowshoe.

Charlie won worlds at home and rain, I mean he's a talented rider, but after that win he hasn't showed the same pace as the first 5 guys...

Any news on the the Madison/Saracen lads? Wouldn’t be shocked to see Greg Williamson on a Gamux with Reece, he had some good points from last year. Haven’t heard anything about Matt Walker though?

That would be sweet. That guy just doesn’t get the recognition he deserves. Hopefully he gets more media coverage on trek.

half baked comment. obviously luck can be a major factor in downhill racing. but he also was seemingly the most prepared for that race on that day. winning doesn't happen by accident, even on a track you know well in conditions you excel in.

Well I'm happy my rumours post was very polarizing and got people chatting.

Gwin is not not headed to Trek but sure would have been fun.

Matt Walker makes a ton sense and hearing Williamson to the Gamux team team would be a good fit.

Gwin be racing on Gwin bikes?

There’s no reason Marine Cabirou couldn’t win every race on that team and that bike!

not sure if this 100% fits in here, but Remy Metailler lost 3 sponsors: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GFHNecIj_Y

Edit: looks like he was essentially able to replace all 3, however (video is a bit longwinded, as it goes into the current industry downturn first.)

We didn’t talk about this on the podcast, but there’s a previous World Cup podium contender switching to enduro as well

I believe you (of course) but can barely believe any brand would pay someone to race Enduro. Zero coverage and no return for the brands.  It’s not worth it to pay those guys to fly around the world and for hotels. Sorry not sorry.

With Mr. Metallier you have to think it's related to the brands not having money for it anymore rather than not wanting to continue the relationship. No idea what he's like to deal with B2B behind the scenes but as far as clicks/exposure/talking up your brand directly to an audience, he's gotta be one of the best, guy's a pro.  No surprise to hear he was able to replace them in short order.

it's definitely an interesting case study to compare with some of the racers situations.

I can confirm that he is a professional in every sense of the word. He's been great to work with.

Kolb also has said them two practising together, at times he can’t keep up and or he uses him to gauge his pace.

Might of been referring to the last race at the time, perhaps fortbill
