Yeah, that was my guess too. Certainly wasn’t a brand with a long name. With the buzz about Vergier possibly moving, that’s what it sounded like to me.

I generally enjoy that podcast but that was a huge miss for me. I hit stop and haven’t restarted it… turns out “I have a secret but I’m not telling” is always a bummer.
I third the Trek/Vergier guess as well. No clue why, but that was the vibe I was getting from what little context clues you could derive from the "conversation." Of course, my thinking might have been influenced by the Trek/Loris rumors on here I'd read a little prior to listening to the podcast.
Agreed, huge miss. They have always included team rumors in the podcast and that's been part of the allure for listeners. Should have just edited that part out completely.
I wonder if they recorded it and then had second thoughts at the last minute after the podcast editor had all put together and was too booked to make a revision...so they just bleeped it and uploaded it rather than trying to cut around it and find a way to still make it feel like a natural conversation.
Either way, I don't really care. I'm not a person who experiences anxiety or any sort of fomo around not knowing stuff like team news though I'm always curious (hence me being in this thread).
I would’ve let it slide but the beeps themselves were super loud. I had a Falling Down moment and ripped my headphones off, threw them down and screamed to the sky. You can’t do that to me.
The volume of those beeps is EXACTLY why I thought it was a quick ooops, cold feet, last minute fix rather than an intentional, carried-out-by-a-professional move.
I work in audio. I'd have NEVER let those beeps go THAT loud compared to the average loudness of the voice on anything I touch.

Moto rumor is TLD will be the Ducati team when they come stateside.
Sounds realistic. GasGas doesn't seem to be even remotely a pick for racers on the gate in the US.
Can't wait to see the gated community dad's coming out of retirement to buy at least one Ducati each to park in their garage for 15 years to show their friends when they come over.
If you look at track record of founders buying brands back, I think you will see a common thread as to the why. Also reading the PR, it says it was bought with a iconic american family, so there is that.
