Hopefully he stays involved with the Norco team for a few years. Otherwise, this makes Santa Cruz’s decision look very smart and makes me think “Oof, poor Norco and the people that got canned to pay him”

If I remember correctly, in a podcast Greg said that his deal includes after he retires, running the team, developing the bike. I would imagine he wants to have a similar role like Peaty does with Santa Cruz.
Did he retire? I thought he said last World Champs
2024 is Greg’s retirement lap. Released the career documentary at the start of the season, last world champs at his “home” Andorran track, will announce his retirement from racing world cups towards the end of the season.
Remember Reece Wilson saying when he won, that there was something about winning the world champs in his contract, and it change the outcome of his season after he won it.

I think it was a case of Reece being dropped but him winning triggered a clause where they had to extend his contract. I guess if the rider doesn't want to take up the option, it's fair game, so I'd say no changes for Loris? I mean it sounds like he's the one that wants out after all...
It will be nearly as straightforward as before. Either on a qualifed team, nominated by his federation or qualify through a feeder series.
only semi related I guess but it’s been talked about here before, they do count as a race team and might get some more eyes here
Bex Baraona and Chloe Taylor had their garage broken into and everything bike related stolen
like red bull one side, monster the other, and rockstar visor?
Greg will be retiring this year according to the UCI's post: https://www.instagram.com/p/C_Klf2FNyhA/

in our interview w/ him earlier this year he made it clear he'd still be involved w/ the team even if not racing at the WC level.
He will take Benoit Coulanges in the team as lead rider 👌🏼
So Greg doesn't announce it's his last year, but the UCI does..... wtf.
Let the dude announce his own retirement first lol
I'd love to see Greg post "I'm not going anywhere, I don't know what the UCI is on about!"
Greg confirms it on Wyn Tv. Last one.
Greg is tight with WB. His doco was produced by Eurosports/WB and it wouldn't surprise me if he moves into a commentary role next year.

Oliver Zwar not on the Canyon press release for world champs. But he seems pretty set on it!
Looks to me like it was a combined announcement, story posted by uci_mountainbike and gregminnaar.
Not sure if it's been amended, but he's on the list of riders.
There was indeed a mistake in the announcement, it's been rectified now and Oli has been added to the list.
Thought he had retired a few years ago to be honest.

Are some of you even fans…? Dude’s in his 40s and podiumed arguably the gnarliest race of the year.
Thought he retired a few years ago?!?
Speaking of old, his former Global Racing teammate Sik Mik raced today.
I haven't seen an interview of him as yet.
We gotta hear from the legend.
if loris was potentially on the move, does that change after today?
Ups the asking price if a deal isn’t already done

Nahh done deal. 🤝
All I can say is 100% no.
Commencaling nicely.
He went quite swiftly straight to Max after the race if you saw that.

That's true. But did you see the interaction between him and Greg. He's going to Norco.
