I just watched the first episode of the Norco race team video. I didn’t realize Kathy Sessler had left Santa Cruz to manage the Norco team. Obviously, she moved when Greg did. She managed the Syndicate team for over 20 years! For those counting that’s a few years before Greg came on. That has to be a pretty profound move for her.
Can’t remember anybody posting about this;

Kathy actually left SC the year or two prior to Greg leaving, I believe. At least she had stepped away from managing the Syndicate.

She was gone before Minnaar was; been gone for 2-3 years, can't remember exactly.
Was listening to that yesterday and it basically confirms that Sam Hill will be riding a new Foes DH bike at some point!

Brent basically whips up anything he feels like at the drop of a hat.
He's probably got a dozen DH rigs he's built in the back that he just never bothered putting on the website.
He's the California hydroform version of FTW in a way.
From the interview, it seemed like Brent was working on something new. It could be a side-project he hasn't finished or a totally new frame, I did not investigate further than this. Always eager to see what he comes up with!

That is very correct. Kathy is an amazing human, by the way, and probably one of the reasons why the Syndicate jelled so well for so much time.
Speaking of Greg, I actually came here to point out a minor thing: Greg has been wearing the new Viris goggle brand that Bulldog, Atwill, Breeden and a few other athletes are also on. This looks a bit odd for me for a couple of reasons. While the initial switch from Oakley felt a bit awkward, Greg being not only an athlete for them, but he also developed one of their bike helmets, as far as I know; it looked like this season he would stay on Fox, who also make goggles, and have Smith as a lifestyle eyewear sponsor. But nothing was mentioned about Viris in the initial press releases, so I guess the Fox goggles initially came as default on the Fox deal, but maybe now the new brand stepped in with some financial support? Funny thing, Greg is not mentioned by any of their accounts, even if he is probably the most visible rider rocking their brand. Does this mean anything?
I know, I pay too much attention to eyewear sponsorship, I know.

I noticed the same thing and thought that was a bit of a strange move, especially considering other athletes on the Norco team are running Oakley too.

From my understanding, he is not sponsored by them, but actually looks to be just using their product, as an upcoming company that he supports. If he was on their team, this wouldn't be announced on LinkedIn in this manner, let's be honest.

That sounds incredibly painful, if not downright debilitating.

Not really imo. Fox doesn’t really seem to be on top, and they seem to cater to certain teams. Gwin is a business man, to be a good one you can’t be afraid to make a change no matter what the history.
More from the point of view that he’s been on fox for his entire career even when that meant moving the full team over from rockshox. Plus as far as I’m aware specialized are the only team that Ohlins support at a factory level.

i think he just showed off one of the team ebikes. his first video back riding on the crestline DH bike was on fox suspension, all the other crestline riders are on öhlins.
on another topic, saw a pic of aaron on crutches today, a broken foot supposedly. didn't read/heard anything about that... dude can't catch a break

Had no idea. Carry-on.
Well… your point still stands except she basically came out of semi-retirement to do the Norco team with Greg. Which is equally cool.
For sure. She’s been in the game for so long, and done so much for so many racers. Definitely thought it was cool regardless of not knowing.
Also pretty awesome how I got a downvote for not knowing. Sweet.

Goggle shortage during SX season.

Depends
Pretty sure not even those could contain a swingarm, gonna need one of those YT neoprene jobbies at a minimum...
I did not realize KTM bought out Foes.
Is that said in seriousness?
Gwin on Ohlins suspension is a bit of a …shock 😬

He was on the broadcast with crutches.
Had a set on a race bike in the late 90s... The og ones... They were awesome, until the glue wanted to identify as blue tack...🤷♂️🤷♂️🤣
PFP retiring from MTB after this season; did NOT have that on my bingo card...
