I got a chance to pedal the new FS Chromag's around in their parking lot this past summer. They are super well built and seem super fun. Will be excited to see them on bike shop showrooms.

From the email they sent out, you’ll have to email Chromag about frames.

“Complete bikes in all sizes are ready to ship or be picked up from our HQ. Frame-only options are available in both steel and Ti in small quantities.

These will not be available online so don't hesitate to reach out to our sales team if you have questions or need a hand placing an order.”

They must’ve changed their minds since that email. Using the blog link from above, I can put a Darko Ti frame in my shopping cart at the moment. About $4475 US shipped.

It certainly does. Specialized has no deal with Shimano nor SRAM and they need to have a drive unit. It is bot entirely blackout, but I would say discreet colors like the cranks.

Looks like the derailleur is the same as the current one, just with a new version of this old school hanger protector Spesh made back in the 2000's

That thing is bringing back memories.  I worked at a Spesh dealer in college and I remember our sales rep made us order like 20 of those things saying "everyone will want one".  Four years later I'm pretty sure we still had 19 of them.

Also,  did we just discover the genesis for Sram's new UDH rear derailleur?

Shimano had a direct mount version of a derailleur many years back with Saint

Specialized had those derailleur guards on the 2012 Demo's.  They were around until the most recent Demo.

They also only worked on SRAM derailleurs.

I'm not the one who bought it off you, but there's one in my shed.

Think you’re right. He’s been talking about it for a while. In regards to the lugs, they are just the “raw” finish which is an option when your purchase one of their bikes. It’s a right piece of kit!

I've actually got two of these. Too bad they were axle mounted, I feel that and the fact Shimano set loose low normal and STI MTB shifters all at once that it died so quickly. To much new too fast and we all bought 9spd X9 in red and gold instead.

The Atherton AM170 is 'official' on GMBN: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xC3eXCTncPY

170 rear, 180 fork, mullet with straight seat tube (as previously noted), 63.5 degree head angle, 343mm BB height, 'pedals like the 150', lifetime frame warranty, available mid-January with pre-orders soon.

170 fork and the HA should be close to 64, perfect for an enduro IMO Smile

Hope this hasn't been asked recently, but has anyone seen any evidence of an AXS Reverb v2?  I heard some rumors that there was one in development with the battery mounted sideways to allow the stack height of the head to be half the height, making a 200mm viable, but I haven't seen any spy shots or anything supporting that.

Not sure if this has been in the thread previously but spotted quite a few times on IG/YT etc.. Dan Atherton riding something pretty cool looking. Looks very similar to the AM.170 but different frame material possibly..

I can’t find the pictures but there were a few XC bikes at World Cups this past season with Reverb AXS droppers that had different post heads/battery location than the current version.

It has been mentioned, but not with such good images. Well done Sir. My guess is Ti tubes instead of carbon.

Atherton al bike was discussed some but it's always good to see more photos. They showed cnc aluminum lugs on IG, and it appears they're gluing al tubes to them. Ti tubes of that large a diameter? I doubt it. Also their ig post had something about the goal being a more affordable version of their bikes so ti unlikely.

While I am far from a metallurgist, making Ti tubes shouldn't be as hard as making a complete bike, as that involves things like a headtube, a BB shell, dropouts and the like. Stuff that requires machining.

But yeah, I'd bet aluminium tubes. Al to Al bonding is a known quantity and is very successfully done.

Dont know if anybody already saw something, but in val di sole I saw Troy heading to the pits on a raw alloy frame prototype with over complicated linkages and bolts, and probably a shock cover, and It looked awesome! Cant give any more Infos because i saw It for a fraction and a few months ago. If someone at canyon sees this please release the prototype photos when the bike releases.

The design language is not wrong for that...

This might have been posted already, but does anyone have info on new SRAM Code brakes? After the Black Friday mega sale, they’re still on sale, which makes me think something new is coming.
