The bike biz is a great business to be in! It is also a job at the end of the day. Not everyday is drinking beers and riding bikes with badass industry folks. Some days are spreadsheets, negotiating pricing like a car deal or spending hours upon hours driving or standing in a tradeshow booth. But when you get those days of riding bikes and hanging with cool people talking bikes, it is more than worth it. While in the bike business I've never had a meeting with the Bob's or had to hide my stapler. Pick the right brand...

Didn't go through it, but the Pivot had the fastest lap for all 3 testers and they gave it best bike on test.

I just got an ebike and it's blowing my mind. I don't think I was ever an ass about it, but I was certainly a bit judgy before. Now, I get it. For me, it just eliminates the slow, sloggy parts of the ride – it's always cruisy and fun. Plus, the penalty for using reliable, confidence-inspiring parts – beefy tires, big brakes, hefty suspension – is essentially eliminated. Isn't going to replace analog riding for me, it's gonna get me on a bike more, because I don't have to search for motivation when I'm tired, time pressed, or it's...

I assume it is a two piece caliper, those bolts are how it is bolted together. They did this with the original Code calipers in the mid 2000's.

Bikes are really freaking good these days. It is not going to be a revelation each time a brand launches or updates a bike. The tagline Vital put to it was: "Subtle but significant changes keep the all-mountain ripper alive and well." Meaning it is an update, not a whole new bike or platform. Were you hoping for 200mm travel, 90 degree STA, 45 degree HA, and 23 pounds? For the last decade it seems that every bike is lower, longer, and slacker. That only works to a point. Bikes have settled into pretty great categories. At this point the...

All of the sorcery chips In all seriousness though the magnet isn't too heavy. Very little noticeable imbalance even at 20mph on trail. Now in the bike stand you will probably notice it but it's not any worse than 120ml of Stan's flowing around in your tire...

Bosch system speed sensor magnet. It takes it off the rotor and puts it on the valve stem. Frame manufactures don't have to make provisions for a speed sensor back at the rear end any more! Big plus to not have a hole at the seatstay/chainstay.
