Elliot Heap is racing EWS-E using the Nukeproof Proto Megawatt with the SRAM motor - looks like SRAM have borrowed the Brose/Specialized setup as looks like a mastermind-like tcu on the top tube and no separate mode remote on the bars, maybe controlled by the axs remotes??

Maybe SRAM are going to licence or partner up with Specialized/Brose?

Why is the Yeti enduro team shredding on a sb150 while some other brands make do with 165-170mm bikes? What about the sb165 - isn’t it a good enough pedaller for enduro stages?

It's a 27 inch bike. Isabeau rides a full 29er and she can barely stand over a 29" wheel...

I think you’ll find 165mm 27.5 rear and 150mm 29 rear have about the same capability but a different feel. And honestly, most of the pro’s who have the option of the 170+ bikes use them for specific races like whistler but use the 150-160 bikes most of the other races

Also a good suspension design can more than make up for 10mm of extra travel

I'm not sure I follow. You can run the current AXS post slammed to the collar and the battery will clear the rear wheel. I am not sure why the longer post would be an issue for taller riders.

This^. If I fully slam my 170mm (on a bike with a short 400mm seat tube), on full compression the rear wheel will buzz the back of my saddle (fully slid forward) but clears the battery.

Well its weird for sure.. but its like The nukeproof team using the Giga instead of Mega, The giga is much better bike as its like 20%+ more progressive in the mid stroke, the Giga was supposed to be a "because we can" kinda bike but its turned into their enduro race bike because progression.

Im suspecting some brands big rig bikes like the sb165 is to linear (im not certain as havnt looked up but as a guess)

for e.g The rocky altitude is approx 40% progression, one of the highest in its catagory? its a stupid fast fun bike.

side note:
I wouldnt be surprised to see the new remedy become a freeride bike.

They’re using an over stroked shock that gets about 162mm in the current frame depending on how long the stroke is.

Good catch Lee. The subtleties... It will be exciting to see the other changes and when the new range will be launched. From the SB66 launch (and maybe SB6?), Yeti never launch anything until the first batch is ready to ship from Yeti.

Any more info on this? I've been running the cascade linkage and got big frame rub on bottom out even on a stock stroke shock. swiched back and its not rubbing but only with a couple of millimeters to spare. Doubt you could run a longer stroke shock unless you had a custom linkage for it raising the BB. The way the mounts work you could probalby only run offset bushings in the front and that would not give much extra i2i.

cable ports are a bit different too! differences are really subtle.

What's the 3rd clamp on Richie's left side of the bar, inboard of the brake? It's some sort of round tab on the front side of the bar, not connected to anything (and he's not using the RAD electronic shock).

I own the Full Party EN (the one with Formula stuff) and it's a freaking monster truck. I'm really happy with it despite the fact that both the shock and the brakes have been replace and serviced under warranty.

Could be a long spring, don't forget new v5 is pretty short compared to current bikes
