That would be sick!

Although I'm surprised they haven't yet released a manual wireless pedal platform/lockout for their suspensions considering flight attendant is already out there...

But the naming is bad I wonder if Baron & Kaiser will remain in the lineup or if they are replaced by the new ones.

This has been my pet peeve for the last few years!

Finally found an okish compromise for the rear: maxxis HR2 DH in maxxpro compound. Plenty of grip for my mostly dry trails and doesn't wear out the knobs in 3 rides.

Once you're dealing with actuators it makes sense to add some sensorics and automate things...

Kinda like you don't have actuator driven manual hvac systems in cars, it's either cable actuated (cheap) or automatic (actuator driven flaps), as the logic and sensorics are not the cost drivers in that case, but adding them does add a lot of functionality in the eyes of the user.

Agreed, but at this point sensors are only responsive and not predictive so they can't anticipate things ahead that I may want to stiffen or soften the suspension for... not everything can be catered for by "if" statements.

1300g for a downhill casing tyre? Are these going to be weak? or have they gone for folding bead to lower the weight. The Kryptotal front and rear do look pretty good treadwise. Can we do popular comparisons?

Yes they are folding bead. Conti tires always have been pretty strong for their weight

Others look to be inspired by the tires you mentioned
But retain the Kaiser side knobs rather than something minion inspired. Nothing looks exactly like a Kaiser to my eyes.

Agreed branding is terrible. I will be butchering the pronunciation of these for forever.

The bike park edition dh 34 from Michelin is a good tire For the people who want a heavy casing tire that won’t wear out. Been rocking those since they came out and they’re still going strong

Whilst the new Conti names may be daft, Red Bull have outdone them (quite literally) with one of the names for their new sunglasses range.

Yeah the Conti names are dumb. I'm also wondering if they're going to make trail / ultra soft available. There's no sharp rocks here, so I run EXO+ with light inserts for sidewall support. I've tried that back to back compared to heavier casing, and the inserts + light casing feels better. And MaxxGrip makes a huge difference on hardpack / loose over hard.

At least here in Chile, the sight is still for sale... But I was thinking the same... It would be nice to have an update in the sight.

Also there are several bikes that are 3+ years old... Does someone knows anything about those models? Spz Enduro, yeti SB lineup, Santa Cruz Tallboy etc

There's a manual mode with the Flight Attendant suspension if I'm not mistaken. And there are cable actuated remotes Tongue

Re Sight, it was all new for 2020. 2023 or 2024 update seems about right, as it would otherwise be the 4th or 5th season of the current design.

Wonder what the MSRP will be for these new continental tires. If they are the same price as current Maxxis tires it will be hard to convince me to try them, especially if supply is low

The dh34 bike park is kind of a huge letdown in my opinion. Ran one on the rear for a month last year and ditched it because it has super flimsy sidewalls for how heavy it is. With cushcore in the rear at 26 to 29 psi it squirmed in turns and didn’t give the same “damped” feeling that a doubledown or DH casing tire gives. It was also near impossible to mount with an insert because of the steel bead and in my opinion wouldn’t be great without one. I will give it this though: the knobs after a month of bikepark and a DH race looked brand new and the tire had tremendous grip for how hard the rubber felt/fast it rolled. Wish the racing line tires would become available again in the states, would really like to see how they stack up to maxxis

In-frame storage. Honestly every manufacturer should be strongly considering it now. It's been exciting to see Orbea and Santa Cruz join Specialized and Trek among the ranks of manufacturers that offer it on at least one model.

Looks like there won't be a light casing SuperSoft option available sadly.
I'd love that combination for my hometrails as well

Schwalbe promised me to my face at Eurobike last year that there was a Super Trail Ultra Soft Magic Mary coming, but no signs of it being available yet.

That makes sense. I was thinking like a geo or suspension update.
I guess storage would be nice but its never crossed my mind as something I look for in a bike. Just like oh hey its there that's cool.
