This one is a stretch BUT: PFP is on Reunion racing the Megavalanche (and maybe qualie'd 3rd?) and appears to be dating Kilian Bron (and is hanging out w/ the Commencal crew). Makes me wonder if Commencal is going to put together an XC team?
A bit of a stretch considering they are fairly anti-carbon and don't have any XC bikes...

To be fair, firing that guy would be an instinctive reaction for most.

I'm sure you can still build a light weight XC race bike out of aluminum. I'd actually love to see Commencal take a shot at it, they did it before. But its not really their core audience.
For all the talk on here about DH bikes being dead and no one selling any, I think they're one of the only ones making a killing off them with YT and Canyon. They know the DH/Enduro/Freeride crowd is their bread and butter and making a push into XC with the big big boys would be expensive, especially with their already stacked roster in the previously mentioned disciplines and constant R&D on their current platforms.
I'd love it to happen because seeing what the company and Max do for racing is next level, but I can't see it going forward in any major way. I'll hold out hope a super aggressive geo, 100/110 24lb aluminum Supernatural though.
I'd do exactly what's happening in your avatar if I see someone genuinely making an aluminium XC bike. Not because it can't be done or wouldn't make sense technically, it's trying to sell it part that'd be interesting. There's pressure to make DH bikes out of carbon so I don't really see it working in XC (even more so with proliferation of full suspension bikes and flex stays to be honest).
I'd wager a gravel bike (steel/Ti anyone?) would fit their portfolio better than an XC bike - it's much more of an n+1 bike than an XC bike would ever be for the average Commencal customer.
Just like you could stay on yours with this ignorant comment, which does anything but help anybody.
For the record, I've met Josh quite a few times, when he was at the top of him racing game. He has always been a top lad and a very friendly, humble and down to earth human. Definitely something most of us could learn from, as an attitude.
I know the rumor of Martin to Orbea is the leading candidate. However, what about Martin to Atherton?? He seems to have really got on well with them at GT Factory. Gee and Rachel are both in the twilight of their racing careers (not saying either are done, but also not saying I would expect a whole lot from either ever again). They have Millie and Charlie so Martin heading up a young guns team coached by Dan/Gee/Rachel would be RAD! Martin continually sings Dan's praises, it's almost like he misses being on a team with him. Martin already has the rapport/relationship with Continental/Fox/Bell etc.
Now, does Atherton make any money yet? Could they afford a top tier guy like Martin?
All speculation but I think it would be a cool move.

Atherton bikes had that investmnt/gofundyourself thing last year.
The goal was 800,000 USD, they raised almost 2 million USD. I think they have some coin.
No chance of Martin to Atherton, plus they are having one less rider this year
Atherton Racing having 1 less rider? Rachel is out with new baby, I'd be surprised to see her come back this year, or at all. Gee isn't really at the pointy end these days but still a great ambassador so I'd be surprised to see him not racing. No idea about Charlie Hatton but still seems to be repping the team

I think rachel can’t wait to come back, and I think she will come back strong this year !

Yea he might be down to earth... too bad he thinks the earth is flat and "covid isnt real" among other things.
He's been pretty vocal about both subjects on social.
I guess depending on where you sit on those subjects you could either consider him a "mush brain" as someone put it, or some sort of intellectual genius.
Wall riding We Are One? Or a team with their parts? It would be a shame to have to ride OEM components 😅

All the talent scouts better be scoping out Evan's stellar heel drop.
I think it's per category, Freeriders vs racer or Jr. Vs elite in this case. Finn got it when he was a Jr. as well but I forget if it was before Stevie passed as he was the Canadian Sr. At the time.
I'd say depending on the situation older riders can keep going with the helmet such as Gee after Laurie got it.

Sounds like your just making stuff up with out having any actual idea.

Redbull has grown and changed over the years... Perhaps now they are open to a few more riders with their colors.. If nothing else, it keeps those riders from being sponsored by Monster or Rockstar..

But GB is Gee , Laurie and Kade on male side Rachel Tahnee on female side.
I think is may still keep it sometimes but no way it’s a hard rule like it use to be. The idea that we want the best athletes so if that means more than one so be it but still want to keep its somewhat exclusive too.
Team Phil all the way.

Enough said, lets keep this to team rumors.
