Team Phil all the way.
For all the talk on here about DH bikes being dead and no one selling any, I think they're one of the only ones making a killing off them with YT and Canyon. They know the DH/Enduro/Freeride crowd is their bread and butter and making a push into XC with the big big boys would be expensive, especially with their already stacked roster in the previously mentioned disciplines and constant R&D on their current platforms.
I'd love it to happen because seeing what the company and Max do for racing is next level, but I can't see it going forward in any major way. I'll hold out hope a super aggressive geo, 100/110 24lb aluminum Supernatural though.
I'd wager a gravel bike (steel/Ti anyone?) would fit their portfolio better than an XC bike - it's much more of an n+1 bike than an XC bike would ever be for the average Commencal customer.
But yeah, not team rumors, sorry.
For the record, I've met Josh quite a few times, when he was at the top of him racing game. He has always been a top lad and a very friendly, humble and down to earth human. Definitely something most of us could learn from, as an attitude.

Now, does Atherton make any money yet? Could they afford a top tier guy like Martin?
All speculation but I think it would be a cool move.
The goal was 800,000 USD, they raised almost 2 million USD. I think they have some coin.
Btw, Orbea saying goodbye to Evan Wall...

He's been pretty vocal about both subjects on social.
I guess depending on where you sit on those subjects you could either consider him a "mush brain" as someone put it, or some sort of intellectual genius.
Enough said, lets keep this to team rumors.

I'd say depending on the situation older riders can keep going with the helmet such as Gee after Laurie got it.
I think is may still keep it sometimes but no way it’s a hard rule like it use to be. The idea that we want the best athletes so if that means more than one so be it but still want to keep its somewhat exclusive too.
