WHERE IS IT? It was deleted, sooo coincidence? I don't think so! :D
The YT MOB!! HAHAH!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8Spxz0wTlA&feature=youtu.be
So all the fuss about Audi, KTM, alpine skiing etc. was just rumors.
"Gwin's personal sponsors are Alpinestars clothing, Red Bull, Troy Lee Design helmets, Giro shoes, HT pedals, Smith Goggles and KTM motorcycles."
So there was at least some truth in the rumors.
Onza tires on the other hand are fantastic tires, both in sticky race compounds and harder compounds that last beating after beating. I'd buy Onza a million times over before buying another set of Schwalbe's (having already given them 3 sets worth of my money).
From the YT Mob page
"The race bike setup differs only slightly from the stock bike: Grips, brakes and tires come from ODI, TRP and Onza, while the rest of the components correspond to the stock specs. A race bike out of the box."
I'm blown away DT-Swiss aren't the wheels considering they held up the way they did during that amazing run he had.
No really they said that the bikes pictured are not what they will be riding and a full release will be out soon when they show up at a race. I am going to go ahead and say they will be using whatever is offered with the YT bikes. Or if Gwin has a preference they will just "buy" whatever drivetrain they need. It's only a couple grand to have the team rig fully stocked with shifters, chains and derrailierus for the season.
Good for the both of them and I wish them well.
It's going to be interesting to watch his results unfold this year. I hope the mental downtime that he missed out on this off season due to having to negotiate all of these new deals doesn't burn him out as the season rolls on, especially since it has a high chance of not being completely smooth sailing for him this season with so many new pieces of kit, new people etc to get used to.
I'm going to guess it won't be a Gwin white wash this year, which is a good thing for us spectators I guess.
