What helmet is Finn Iles actually wearing? It seems to have a Specialized logo on it But it is certainly not the Dissident helmet you can buy online. vs.

From Pinkbike: "Gwin's personal sponsors are Alpinestars clothing, Red Bull, Troy Lee Design helmets, Giro shoes, HT pedals, Smith Goggles and KTM motorcycles." So there was at least some truth in the rumors.

The only thing you can really see is that the head tube is definitely tapered. Norco and Giant come to mind... The current Canyon Torques do not have such a head tube.

Cool, thanks for the explanation. Doesn't sound too appealing to have to go even faster into huge jumps.

Can you explain that jumping problem better? I rode the same bike and did not find too much of difference at all to a regular DH bike, but then again there were no big jumps on the test track.

:-) Of course I admit that. I would be way too scared to ride that kind of stuff blind like them. But building two wooden bridges right after each other, that both look the same; but one is a high-speed gap, the other one a set-up to a tight turn; you have to admit that's a tiny bit treacherous.

Well, obviously. That way they would not have been hurt. But there is certainly more courage in Europe to build awkward, sketchy, and surprising stuff. You can't rely quite so much on common sense and absolutely have to, as you said, study every feature before you ride it.

It's definitely less Clone Trooper like than full-blown plastic body armour but still noticeable. Take a look at the pictures in this thread. Isn't the Evo you have actually 661's low volume protector? You may also look into the new POCs, but they are quite expensive. Another possibility: Get the "Subgear Compression" stuff from 661 with an additional back protector...

Strange... I have Hightop Impacts as well. And in the rain the water seems to go directly from my front tire into the foam padding on the inside of the shoe. Then, even with a boot dryer it takes two days for the shoes to dry. How do you keep the water away from the foam padding on the inside of the shoe?
