Thanks @sspomer and the rest of the Vital crew for putting on such a great Fantasy Downhill competition again this year! And what a great season of racing we have had! These last few rounds have been nerve racking, but I am beyond stoked to have somehow held on to the lead in the standings 😅. Here's to another great season of racing/fantasy next year 🍻

From what I've seen, from a euro perspective the girls are going to have some tight competition amongst the first years. Both the Rosas (Zierl and Jensen) and Lina Frener. Add to that Aletha Ostgaard and there's four big contenders for a podium. I'll add Cassandra Peizerat in the mix, but well have to see if she stays racing DH (she's also a growing talent in the alpine skiing world) For the guys, Is Cohen Bundy a 2008 or '09? I think the thing that makes people suspicious of WBD and UCI is that WBD and UCI keep doing suspicious things (including well-documented meetings with certain team managers but not all team managers and forcing them into NDAs as tight as not revealing anything even to athletes on their own teams in order to be in those meetings). I tried my best to love Transmission, but 3 problematic derailleurs in 8 months is a lot considering their price. And the worst one was when the contact pins for the battery stopped working on the first day of my Alps holiday.

I was born in Poland, but I grew up in California....spent 40 years there. Now I'm back in Poland...as luck would have it....in Bielsko-Biała. For the past 3 years I've been riding most of the trails that'll be used at the event. Prior to that, my resume includes mostly Skegg's Point and Braille in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a run down Mt. Lemmon outside of Tuscon, and some Tapia Canyon (Castaic, California). I'm old and mostly ride motorcycles with MTB stuff peppered in here and there.
