and that's exactly one of those solution that seems so excellent. It's been teased at by a few companies before, but never seemed available to public, but it makes so much sense. Yet, after my experiences, i'd much rather hope or somebody else made it (edit: i guess hope does have something similar, not looked into many DH hubs lately). A symmetrical wheel means nothing if free hubs blow up.

I have very mixed feeling towards e*thirteen. I have respect for their problem solving ways, and anytime they release a new product, it always seems like a good idea; it agrees with my armchair engineering and I normally say "hey, that's a great idea!" On the trail, or in person - different story. Yes I had a pawl break in my TRS+ wheels that wrecked the hub, but that's been a non-issue now. Their bearings were terrible though. When the hubs are laced up to a rim with a thicker extrusion that doesn't let the nipples sit at a bit...

TRP brakes seemed odd to me as well. Onza tires on the other hand are fantastic tires, both in sticky race compounds and harder compounds that last beating after beating. I'd buy Onza a million times over before buying another set of Schwalbe's (having already given them 3 sets worth of my money).

Teams have to be submitted by today, but that will hardly get the ball rolling. UCI will post the team lists Feb 12, so the teams still have a month before being forced to do a press release.

I can't help you out on contract lengths and timelines (a chart of this sure would be cool), but the UCI states that team submissions are to be made by Jan 15/2016 and will be posted (presumably on the UCI site) on Feb 12/2016. So basically, Gwin has to have at least his official team figured out and submitted by...

Judging by the bag on his shelf, it might make sense that MX and MTB were just cross training for his Rio badminton bid with team Babolat.

I'm positive somebody at Norco has some fun reading these forums throughout the week as they've been trolling this whole off season. I've seen numerous "Big News Next Week" and similar posts by them, only to have them disappear without any news being posted. But who knows, this one could be legitimate.

I hate to continue the KTM talk, but I am genuinely curious here. Everybody is talking like KTM (moto) does not take any part in the MTB scene (sponsorship wise), but have they not been supporting the Austrian national team for several years? I seem to recall both XC and DH Austrian national jerseys at world champs always being filled...

I hope you guys are continuing with the humour. If not, the 'BELL' on the jersey and bike is not in reference to the company.

Whitely's new team is the one that is supported by Audi? Although I'm still in the "Audi seems unlikely to get in bed with DH" camp. Edit: I suppose the clue might lend itself more to Audi sponsorship of the 23 EWS team and not a new DH team.

Not giant or evil, just at the edge of the censorship you can see a coil or two of the shock. Definitely runs horizontally in the bike and too far forward for the evil.

Based purely on the cable routing/integrated bumper and split seat tube area, I'd say she's a Tr500. But on second look, i can't see the link in the split seat post. I remember seeing a Tr500 look-a-like bike not too long ago, but I can't remember who made it.

I may be wrong, but I remember reading or hearing that her record makes it very complicated to race outside of the US, hence why she only raced Windham.
