Why does it seem to be consensus, that Gee Atherton "doesn't have much left in him"?
The guy isn't even 30, right? He is ultra consistent, super fit and mentally strong. He's already had seasons with lots of 4th and 5th places and came back winning the overall, so why would he be done?

I dont think its a consensus, just a few trolls. To say he is past it is naive at a minimum. The facts speak for for themselves.
@Gee: I was asking myself the same thing. Then again, he said "the athertons".
I don't see Rachel slowing down except for doing something else. Kids maybe - who knows. Dan on the other hand hasn't had the success in the ews a lot of people and of course he himself expected. Though he won Finale once in the Superenduro days. The only thing with Gee is, that he seemed fit (he always is), he had no injuries and there's nothing that could have stopped him from being competitive - except he wasn't. If we put aside his tt in lourdes where wlhe der in fact broke a finger or so.
So maybe he struggles with that. Still i'd have him on my team rather than brookmac e.g.
Well being as Blenki and Gwin were together on Yeti back in the day and got along really well... not surprising that they were hanging out...

I believe Todd Schumlick the owner/manager of Norco Factory racing coaches Blenki, Harry Heath, as well as Aaron Gwin. I know Gwin was at a training camp held by Todd Schumlick in California earlier in the season along with the whole Norco Factory team plus others.

Rachel will get bored eventually and will move out of the way.
Gee is a winner.. he hates second place. there's only so much someone like him can take.
Lol. I'd rather have Brook maccy on a team over Gee anyday.
Gee is that rider o simply choses to be efective while racing and don t be there just to give show throwing thw bike around or whipping all the way.
But as you also seen from atherton project or from red bull hard line or even rampage when he want s to be stylish he can. It s jus a mather of it is worthit to do it to be faster or not.
As for results. He has had bether years but as his past has shown he can step it up again. And just like him other riders did it likr minnar. Hill or gwin for example
You would rather have someone who has never won even won a major race over a 2 time World Champ and 1 time World cup overall winner? Peecee is onto something...

If you know where to look you can find many pro's selling off their stuff at the end of the
year. I just saw all of the Atherton frames up for sale including the world champs one.
Seen in comments over Pinkbike article about "Techwalk: Roc D'Azur 2015":
"There was a photo of the Worlds bike with the Stripe jersey behind, saying something like: If the rumors come true, we will not see this jersey again (he will wear the stripes jersey, just with different sponsors). I saw the article the first minutes it appeared and had that photo, then 4-5mins latter I refreshed the page to see if there were comments about that, and the photo had gone...I'm not making that up myself!"
Canyon? Always thought he'd end up in the syndicate. Can't blame him with all the mechanicals this year. So guess we can put 2&2 together and he'll be on cesear new bike seeing as he said last month he preferred the mondraker of the lappy.

No idea. I did not see the shot but if you check Facebook, GT had not mentioned anything about their exhibition over Roc D Azur, while Lapierre has a booth there with Bruni's bike and his jersey

How many of these mechanicals were even Lapierre's fault though? All I remember is flat tires and a broken chainguide.
Also when he said he preferred the mondraker, he was talking about when he first got on Lapierre and was running their old bike.
It'll be cool to see Canyon come out with a competetive dh bike if it's true though
The contract with Lapierre is until december 2016. So wait and see... But on the french press, they mentioned that Canyon is on them. Atherton on Trek, Graves on Specialized and Leov on Canyon. !!! SPECULATIONS !!!
I wonder if all of this mix up at the Spec could involve Gwin after all. Perhaps the number crunchers have won out and enduro now rules the Big S? I would love to see what he would do elsewhere? And where he might go? And if Graves (Yeti's O.G. Enduro guy.) split for Spec, would that leave Rude to lead Yeti's glorious return to DownHill?
Hey Yeti... Your wasting time on some young talent from Freedom, CA... He's reduced to riding a Spec. for the time being...
Ok so now that Berrecloth announcement is public lets speculate what Specialzed is getting in return? I find it very strange Specialized let him announce his new digs before the supposed Jan/Feb 2016 contract period lots of people mention let alone before Rampage. Is Specialized getting a negotiation perk in some unannounced deal? Perhaps something along the lines of ok Canyon you can go public with Berrecloth but we are getting that Enduro or DH rider you almost signed?
