Nice! Always wondered how Syndicate was so scrappy in the pits. They have made do with the bare minimum basics for so long.

Looks like duct tapped on threaded inserts/nuts for quicker on and off of the linear transducer for rear shock. Wonder which frame company will be first to have these available to save such macgyver tactics?

I shoulda been more descriptive and explained things better in that initial comment so that I'm not having to go back and clarify now. Saw this earlier today...Disappointing. I don't know if USA Cycling is having a hard time securing venues or they just flat out don't care about the gravity discipline of the sport. Personally I feel like it is the latter. I say that because...last couple of years at the national championships...award presentation almost seemed like an inconvenience for the gravity athletes but you would think the XC athletes were competing in the Olympics. I mean...every XC competitor in every class...the award presenter practically knew their life stories. When it came to the DH guys...it was more like...here's your medal now get...

1/18/2019 6:42am Sigh the sport is further digging some holes as far as welcoming outsiders with Trek focusing on "youth" and teams having "Dudes" in the name. No need to walk on glass worrying about every last word and rider image but coming in a bit from the other extreme with official brand marketing might help. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Forget the traditional Vital OTB. New contest should be 1) number of spectators and/or animals hit in town 2) number and names of riders who blast through the finish area into the water.

This kind of looks like a digital caliper hack to measure linear motion. Thought about doing this for http://picorico.io but was worried about the amount of space it takes up as well as mud issues. We went with a rotary encoder for similar in a smaller package easier to mount. Wonder how well this setup is working out. A digital caliper with off the shelf microcontrollers or what we did with linear encoder is by no means perfect nor a replacement for the multi $1k setups but they are cheap systems that are way better than the usual ziptie measurement...
