FTW story: Back in '08 at the US Champs race at Mt. Snow: During my race run, there was a small drop into a berm as you exited or entered the first woods. Being a wet weekend, I missed the exit rut of the drop and slid bar-first into a tree, snapping my rear brake lever off. I waited for the next rider to pass, then pulled back on track and chased him down. Surprisingly, I was riding really well w/o a rear brake and ended up passing the rider on "Slick Rock Hwy". 2/26/2017 9:44am It may be a bit tough finding something new that's still 26" with 170mm of travel, but FOX still makes the 36 in 26"//180mm and the travel can be lowered to 170mm. It really depends on what your budget is, too. Something used might be your best bet.

12/21/2016 4:36pm I think it's fair to say he's testing a new design or signed with some entirely different stopper brand when you consider this older shot he put up with both the brakes/rotors and their shadows blocked out. Also, he's still got Sram brakes on the new Enduro he had painted all fancy.
