On a recent interview, Sam Hill mentioned that he used the Mega for EWS round 1 and the Giga for EWS round 2 (both setup as mullets). He will then decide after round 2 on which bike he will be riding for the remainder of the season.

To be honest, I am genuinely interested to know which bike he will pick.

On Jesse’s Instagram post yesterday his rotors looked different. I think a photo of similar shimano rotors were posted a few days ago. They are the same rotor as current centerlock Freeza XTR rotors, but with the curved rotor carrier of 6 bolt saint/see rotors.
My theory is either a 6 bolt version of the current XTR, or an updated rotor for upcoming Saint. If you can buy them in 220, I think they’ll be popular.

All very well with DH head angles. If Enduro DC forks are going to be a thing we'll need much lower offset in the castings. Partly for steering lock - offset in the crowns gives more room, and partly to get down to the 37mm offset people are wanting.

Did anyone see the offset of the Formula DC prototype?

Who is wanting 37 for 29er. I’ve mostly seen 42 for 29er and 37 on some (but not most) 27.5.

"The 29" wheeled fork be released first with a 43mm offset, followed by a 27.5" version with a shorter offset of 37mm" from https://www.pinkbike.com/news/formulas-prototype-dual-crown-enduro-fork… (I assume this is the prototype you're talking about)

46 steers noticeably differently than 42, and having fewer castings stops the price climbing too far. So much cheaper & easier to adjust offset with crowns.

Plus, as I said - putting the offset in the crowns improves turning radius, which matters if DC is to gain traction on bikes that get pedalled up.

I have both 51 and 42mm offset forks and the difference is at best vague at normal people speeds

And from years of experience of Hayes, avid and sram, DOT brakes fail as they get older at a much higher rate. Old pairs of mineral oil brakes, even cheap ones? Bleed it and it's good to go. Old dot brake? 25% chance you might be able to get it working.

By old I mean 7-10 years plus. I see an unfortunate amount of Hayes 9's every week which I promptly toss in the trash
