As always, the peanut gallery again looks like we have zero idea what we are talking about (because, we don't). Nuance, turns out, is everything. Thanks for taking the time to update us superfans, best of luck recovering. Keep your head up.

Also ignorance of hate is not an excuse for perpetuating hateful words and thoughts. Maybe he's just some rural French kid who doesn't speak much English and thought the words were cool. I don't believe it, but, it doesn't matter. He should understand the seriousness and consequences of his actions. Mucoff is pulling out while at the same time ensuring he is educated on racial stereotyping.

Ah yes, Europe, a land famously free from racism.... I'm sure that all the people drowning in the Mediterranean or the English channel for having the temerity to be brown would agree with you.... Personally I've found much of the reaction to his post very disappointing. It's mostly along the lines of "it's too personally inconvenient for us to think that he might not have innocently posted a racial slur because we enjoy his bike riding so let's not bother and all agree he's a nice guy"

Everyone saying "he is french he doesn't understand "American" issues yada yada" This type of thing isn't only an issue in America. He can't play dumb like he doesn't know. It is everywhere. After a quick check, he follows Lewis Hamilton so at the very least he has seen the plethora of posts from Lewis about the issue.

2022 could be a strange year where maybe we don't see a huge amount of moving and shaking happen within the World Cup. Unless the Commencal - Muck+Off thing gets even more interesting and we see a certain rider move away from the team...

So many dumb takes yesterday on social media about "roadies who can't ride REAL mtb" and the like. Clearly he just made a mistake, it happens...even to the best. I think it would be really rad if more towns and cities invested in awesome, dedicated XCO courses like this. I feel like we've seen a lot build pumptracks and mini bike parks at trailheads, so this seems like the next evolution of that. It would sure help XC become popular in the US again. While I enjoy the big, backcountry XC racing that's been the preferred flavor for last decade...

Zero Cool Added a comment about feature Mountain Biking and Head Injuries - The Inside Line Podcast

Maybe something like the RFU (rugby) rules. Preseason Sports Concussion Assessment Tool (SCAT) testing to record the player’s baseline scores, then the first signs of a head injury, heavy hit, etc the player is off the pitch, assessed using the same tool and if there’s any doubt then theyre out of the game and off for more assessments (including mandatory rest even if that means they miss the next game or longer). Head injuries properly mess you up (and even kill you), often even if you’re feeling ‘fine’ afterwards.

I just want to comment on the comparisons to moto concussion protocols in both this podcast and in Needles' podcast. The sentiment was that professional moto has a superior approach merely because they have some sort of protocol in place, and there may be some truth to that, but the enforcement of that protocol is poor at best. Case in point: Jett Lawrence's crash in the opening heat at Indy 2 this year- he absolutely drilled his head in the ground, visor came off, and the chin of his helmet visibly rotates past his shoulder in the process of the...
