At least another week for some of the "unknowns" to make official announcements. Moir is signing with the City of Bentonville and will have an ankle monitor on that prevents him from leaving the area. He'll be slanging pastries and coffee out of a smoko stand in the woods when not riding.

Looks like a horse to me. About that Switchgrade? I am a bit Curious how many of you have ridden dh bikes- like a fuktonne, like that’s all you ride for 3 seasons ??? Because that kicked back angle on the saddle is a huge contact point for me when I’m hauling freight in the hard stuff….. and I’d love to have that stupid climbing angle “turned off” for my winch and plummet- every day Rocky Mountains type- neverending -shit air -uphill garbage.

Probably less K-Pop, more Korea in general for themes. We're going to see some cool kits, some tacky ones, and probably a few where the designer uses Chinese or Japanese references because they didn't do their due diligence. I'm leaning towards Scott being no different from other teams with special kit and paint but not much else. Locals don't identify with Scott in any special way either. My money is on Specialized going big for the event. Specialized Korea has been making the most noise locally so far, and there's definitely been encouragement coming from Morgan Hill.

I know it kinda sounds like moaning, but nevertheless, an epilogue (apparently). Since I last posted my above comments, I was on the line with the US customer support (who at least replied and said they will try to ping the EU reps). The EU reps first answered on 25th september (almost a month since the first email), then there was radio silence (I was in contact with the US reps and periodically pinged the EU e-mail in the mean time) until 2 days ago. Almost exactly 4 months later. They said they don't have a spare part (the lumbar...

I find the continental to be one of the more stiff casings. I'm a serial tire burper in corners, it's one of the few that keeps the sealant and air inside the tire. The radials feel very disconnected in comparison. Great on tech, but a bit weird in mach chicken corners.

I liked their dh casing for trail riding but not on the dh bike, too much squirm that required a ton of air pressure. It’s why I haven’t tried the radial casing from Schwalbe yet.

With a lighter weight bike I find it more likely that I’ve been pinged off line on the higher speed inch perfect tech. I’ve even noticed the sidewalls of my tires with more rub marks than usual on the full fat e-bike compared to the enduro bike it replaced. My suspension settings also, obviously, require more spring to hold the...

Not correlated! I know that Alan, who's in charge of Enduro, is very committed. He is doing a lot of work behind the scenes to make changes that will help Enduro, I am excited for what he has in store. Excited enough to come out of retirement for a race or two in the future. Masters class is only a few years away for me.

There's not much riding on a mountain bike that I can't do on an e-bike because of the extra weight. The steering stop headset that some of the have isn't that big of a deal usually either.

Here’s the thing. People get hired into positions of power. They start thinking “I gotta do something!!!” The problem begins when “do something” turns into “change the thing”. The “something” they could do is at all costs protect the core identities that surround the current position. With all the current fuck-ups in business branding you’d think some lessons had been learned. Nope, they can’t help themselves. I actually appreciate that the logo on my 2025 Fox Factory DHX2 is exactly the same logo that was on the shock on my 1994 Cannondale Super-V 1000, and on my Fox Factory Twin-Clicker...

When I was 14, I had a friendly argument with an older colleague at the bike shop. The argument was around riding with protection, especially gloves. I said it is lame and not very comfy and that I prefer the real feel of the grip in my hands. He on the other hand had the winning argument: “when you’ll get older, you’ll also prefer riding without protection, but it can end up in a maternity room”. So he won, I heeded his words, and since then I've very sensibly been using all kinds of protection when riding, usually a...
