brash Liked a reply to forum topic Fox 38 air spring in Zeb chassis?

God no, 38 the most linear air spring on a fork I've come across. Especially with no tokens and adequate pressure. A freshly serviced 38 is eerily close to coil, I've converted every fox fork I've had to a smashpot except the 38.

I was pretty excited for this weekend. Rode practice Friday and Saturday only to get sick late in the day and miss Sunday.. Pretty bummed because the track got good toward the end of the day each day as things thawed and dried.

It did look pretty awesome with those satin gold Deity Supervillains that are now on MY bike (instead of the purple Hopes). There's a limit to what I'll let him steal from me though! 😁

This has been my experience regarding eBikes. I have a $10k 2022 Giant Trance X Advanced with live valve that didn't even get an offer when I listed it for $5k. I also have a 2021 Intense Tazer MX expert model that didn't go anywhere for $1750. I figure I'll just keep them and use them to coax friends out...

My opinion... Used ebikes have the re-sale value of a pringles can left out in the rain for 4 weeks and full of water. Any real mileage on them (over 300-500) and there will be practically no interest, even at 50% under msrp. Not a shocker, but it's a turn in the market where your ownership decisions are now impacted by that. Previously, the move was either get a new ebike every year before the depreciation got gnarly, or just hold onto it and run it into the ground. Now the answer is clear, run it into the ground and...

How many would tune in or come to a race just to see a privateer race? How many would come to see Roczen?

Hey there! I just made an account to answer this Smile There actually is an option. You need to disassemble the lever and remove the pushrod. This video shows how to remove the lever. Follow the procedure up until 3:00 where he unthreads the lever from the pushrod. The pushrod is secured by a little washer and a circlip that sits in a groove inside the lever. Remove the circlip to get the pushrod out. Now you can cut the thread on the pushrod a little bit further using an M4*0.7 thread cutting die. Reassemble according to instructions in reverse...

The new schwalbe radial tires offer a very damp ride feel. I use counter shox mass dampers and ochain on my bike. I’ve also been experimenting with some soft rubber damping material. I’ve tested it in the bars, axles and Seatpost. I believe it does slightly reduce vibrations and high sharp frequencies.

Does anyone really want to read my 42 years of mtbing stories? Or maybe you've been on a ride, bike or lift, with me and already heard them. I'll start with toe clips since that's what brought us all together here. And since google couldn't find a photo of a Rivat cyclocross shoe I will have to post one of the few old photos I could find of myself wearing the shoes. Back story for the photo, this may have been 84ish, Pearl Izumi photo shoot. After this photo I told the photographer about the "jumps" behind our house and...

I raced my first national dh race in ‘94 on toeclips and a rigid fork. Missy Giove bunnyhopped my carcass in the first corner of my first practice lap, and we’ve been pals ever since.

Am I the only one here who has ever ridden toe clips? I feel old. I am old I guess. I used to ride my toe clip pedals in soccer cleats with rubber spikes for better foot retention. Nice and tight in the chunder on my fully rigid bike but soft enough to be able to rip them out when in need. I's like to think that I inspired this thread with this post from the Tech Roumors thread. My first was a Schwinn Sidewinder which was like a factory klunker with two brakes and five gears. Then a Dorado...

Just to dispel the idea I didn’t carefully set the dorado up — I spent hours bracketing both air pressures in the main / IRT chambers and the compression / rebound clickers. Wasted entire shuttle sessions doing this. Also bought a digital shock pump just to make sure I had single psi accuracy lol. Simply couldn’t get it to a happy place. Used other people’s settings that had it at a claimed magic place and never felt as good as a 40 (which was much easier to setup). Part of the reason I bought the dorado pro is because of...
